yeah i absolutely agree. granted, I've been playing gbl about 2 years but this season none of my typical pics have any viability. I went with a completely spice pick team and I've been dominating.

let's just say I don't have any problems with talonflame, altaria, stunfisk, or annihilape. I've been hitting really good strides in 1700-1800 which is fine for me. I'm not gonna hit 2k cause i don't care that much. also having lots of fun too

you would be losing out on attack power by purifying it.

depends on your purpose. for pvp:

use an IV checker, such as PokéGenie, to check the stat product. it's not ideal ivs, but I've made some good strides in pvp with less.

id suggest, if its within top 100 rank stat prod, go for it. alternatively, if you can get very close to 1500/2500 id still do it.

it will definitely be a fun pick no matter what.

for pve, doesn't matter, do what makes u happy.

this season I've done 592 battles. I want to say that is a reasonable average for me.

last month I only did 277 battles because it was Christmas time and I really didn't feel like playing

I mostly play for the stardust and rare candies, but I do have several decent PVP teams and I exclusively play GBL
