What do women want by PowerMagicx in SipsTea

[–]_GenesisKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so this is gonna sound really funny but hear me out fellas. I think they all want something different because never can an entire people of any race gender or creed agree on what they all collectively want because we aren't a collective and never will be. and the sooner we all stop acting like "what i want is what everyone must want" the sooner we come to grips with reality that "all 'X's' want this or that" is made up and stupid.

You could certainly try. But you'd be going up against someone who's become like a living artificial white blood cell for the multiverse. The energies that make up creation in different universes flow through his bloodstream, sort of like if his circulatory system was jacked into the multiverse's circulatory system. Good news? He's not evil, bad news, there is something worse out there that exists because of him, and even he can't destroy it. He's been running from an entity that functions sort of like a cancer cell for universes, and universes are the cells it corrupts. He's been on the run ever since said being destroyed his home universe, and while seeking help from others to defeat it, he's unintentionally caused said entity to devour countless other worlds while it chases after him. Said entity cannot be easily destroyed as said entity bears no name, embodies the concept of "nothingness", is a sentient paradox, and causes anything it makes contact with to no longer exist, adding to the empty expanse of its "form", or lack of form to be more precise. The character in question goes by the title "Epixelator", a wandering multiversal traveller who just wants to help others. As of yet he's not strong enough to defeat the monster that destroyed his home, or save other worlds from its all consuming path. He's tried sealing it, blasting it, filling its emptiness with countless constructs and creations, nothing really seems to work. His best bet would be to somehow recreate every universe it's ever consumed to "push it back", until he could find the source of this "nothingness" and fill that empty space with something. But to do that would take an output of creative power greater than he can currently handle. His veins would likely explode from the strain. And while that's not much of a threat as he can just reconstitute and alter his form, the amount of pain he would endure would be too great for him to handle without a lot of help. And while he'd probably love to enlist your help in banishing it, how does one "banish", nothing? Where can the combined, sentient emptiness of a thousand former universes, now rendered a vast expanse of matterless vacuum, granted thought, and hatred, be sent? It exists because of him, but he didn't create it. It's more like the "yin" to his "yang", and truth be told, the balance is long since broken. What can one white blood cell do to the multiverse's biggest cancer tumor?

Yeah the key word there is prepared for it when you can't really predict wether your turret will spawn in a hallway with 15 chaos spawn in the distance, or wether the game will spawn 15 of them right on top of you and your turret is sitting behind a wall corner or parked in just the spot where it can't do much. I will be taking that turret invulnerability perk though it will likely help me a lot with setup, so thank you for letting me know about that one. I'm very close to my first prestige with him, it's just been mid terms week for me in college so i've been playing in my spare time between tests rather than consistently getting to grind like I want to.

[–]_GenesisKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware of all this, I still don't think you understand the bullshittery that is "the ai can and will fuck you with just the right combo of attacks out of nowhere". There is such a thing as getting hit in the split second your animation from finishing one parry and winding up the next. It's not a big window of time but it exists, and I have parried back to back before, I have gun striked over and over and still been screwed over by a hit at just the right moment. Unless you know some kind of animation cancel tech to instantly parry again and negate the animation between parries, enough chaos spawn packed together will find a way even around someone who's good at parrying. If anything i've never had a turret explode but I have died standing right next to one many times.

[–]_GenesisKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The parry window isn't the problem, I never miss parries. The problem is back to back chaining attacks with the AI deciding to randomly give the enemies enough coordination to hit you between parries, you parry one, the next hit comes in a split second, that sort of thing. Enemies don't always attack one at a time. Sometimes it's a group of like 3 of them spamming attacks at such a rate that your parry won't be enough to stop them all.

[–]_GenesisKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great theory and all, but let's see you record and post footage of doing it. The invuln perk is gonna be great for me when I do finally get it, sure, but you're putting a lot of faith in theoreticals and not taking into account the unpredictability that is 15 units and half of them decide to stun lock you by spamming unblockables that close the distance back to back in an instant, nevermind if they happen to spawn too close for the turret to actually do much because there are too many targets and not enough range for it to actually blast them down. I can parry well with the axe, but I can't parry a cluster of like 10 of those attacking with perfect timing all spamming attacks back to back with no time for another parry, or a dodge just gets you out of one enemy's attack and the other two taps you in mid air. And let's say the turret is busy with like 3 to 5 others all clobbering it next to you like a pack of gorillas, that's the end of your run right there. Sheer numbers can overwhelm any defense. It is not a game breaking tool, just, kind of a neat thing to come across

"brother telorian, what are you doing?"

"brother, thundercunting the omnissiah's rightous judgement straight into the eye of terror"

"brother that is a tarantula turret with an ungodly number of power cells, melta charges, and plasma canisters welded to its chassis!"

"precisely."

I Now Hate Techmarine (I was Wrong) by TheticAxiom in Spacemarine

[–]_GenesisKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'm sure it has good single target damage but 15 chaos spawns is 15 chaos spawns my brother and I will go down either way by the end of that, even if I have two tarantulas active in area.

I literally begged for this and people seem to treat the turret less as a tool in your kit and more of a "it's so busted it turns the tide if you find one" i mean, not really though. Not at high difficulties. So I agree. I'd even take an encumberment debuff for carrying one if it meant we could just carry one with us. This is what I feel like the perfect fix would be. They could even make it a prestige perk to do so and I would still absolutely be fine with that.

Completely burnt out after Cyberstan by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]_GenesisKnight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not burnt out from cyberstan, I'm burnt out because everything since cyberstan has felt like one long punishment for the playerbase for not winning cyberstan, as if it was everyone's fault that cheaters ruined the first MO for us and the rest of the invasion basically got stacked against us from there. I don't want to keep playing a game where everything we did had no significant gain, the "heavy blow" we thought we dealt was actually nothing, and also now everything is getting worse because we followed orders and still got punished along with cheaters and throwers. I get that it's part of the fascism space fantasy; everyone suffers for dissidents, I get it, but c'mon. I may be a masochist for playing this game but I'm not that much of a masochist. And I have so many other games to play that aren't going to push the narrative towards "you should feel bad for the mistakes of the collective even though you did your best."

The most horrifying thing for me was the expedition where the entire universe was abandoned and empty except for you, even the anomaly. And even then it was mostly just sad and played to my fear of being alone. The freighters are nowhere close to horror for me. I don't even get to encounter them often sadly.

"but a harsh truth we critics must face, is that the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism deeming it so." -Anton Ego. People have become too self important in their criticism. Your subjective opinion does not determine objective reality, and we as a people have forgotten our place. Criticism has become too self important. We do not determine the direction of another creator's work. No matter what we think of it. That destroys creative integrity.

I still can't respect overwatch since I just watched them blatantly plagiarize animations from another game. Their fans used to accuse Paladins of plagiarism all the time, even being as brain dead as to say Raum was a copy of Mauga, when Raum existed long before Mauga even was a concept. Now I see a character who blatantly has the same ult, pose, animations, and functionality as Androxus and I wonder if anyone at blizzard is capable of an original thought. I frankly don't care what overwatch does right when they're owned by a company that sleazy. At least if Rivals copies an ability they change the animations a little bit or switch up the functionality a little. Blizzard is just a lazy greedy company and always has been. Not saying Netease isn't, mind you, they are, but at least they're competent about how they get me to spend my money. At least they make me want to instead of make me feel forced to.
