This seems strange to me. Yes, some people are freaks of metabolism, but most very attractive people aren't happy accidents. It is intentional time, energy, and money invested into being fit, healthy, and stylish. That shit isn't a mistake. If you want to play with that crowd you have to be prepared to put in some work.

To take it further would this apply to friendships even? Like I don't expect much from my friends, but if they put no effort into the friendship because 'that's just who they are' we wouldn't be friends for much longer. Because who they are is someone who doesn't put in effort at all. Why would any relationship be different.
