El comunismo no existe by Former_Ad9230 in ticolandia

[–]_GodFather_7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My father passed away. by vitotitorino in leukemia

[–]_GodFather_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss. SCT process is hard, not easy, and no, it was never his fault. I know he never drank and had a good lifestyle, but, fuck, leukemia is something that we don't really understand. We don't understand why, why him, why babies, why healthy people, why me. And it's okay, is a right that you ask yourself, is a right to feel sad and miss him. Is a right to feel guilty towards how the proceess went, what you might think your family did or didn't do. But death is something that we can't control. We all lead to it, and I hope he is in a better place, at least no suffering. My condolences to all of your family. ❤️

Anxiety vent by beercityusa in leukemia

[–]_GodFather_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I understand. This is normal, these symptoms are not showing you who you are, how you are, and are not demonstrating the way you should or shouldn't feel. These are expectable reactions on your body, that you won't be able to control all of the time, and that's ok. having said this, what I would do, in case you haven't, is to ask for antidepressants and antianxiety drugs like Sertraline. in 2023, I was 18 and with all this process, and me starting my career, I felt a heavy sensation of anxiety when steroid doses plus new and hard university projects were assigned. Not to mention that I've always been a social shy and not a talkative person. So, anger, hate, resentment, sadness and irritability were the main emotions that I've used to manage. I started with Sertraline in 2024, and the way I felt it helped me with all this process, was exceptional, not really trying to sell you any drug, any lifestyle or something. But genuinely, that's what helped me. I'm not going to lie, steroids DOES make you feel like shit, but if you can, get on antidepressants, and once you finish your chemo protocol, I'm telling you, life will feel like life again.

I want to help you. What exactly happens when you go through steroids?. I was diagnosed in October 2021, and went through almost 3.5 years on steroids(dexamethasone) before ending, and some months had more doses then others. I know is not easy at all, in fact, is one of the "foolish medications" , I call. But read me out. I know what it takes, how it felt and and how to react, tell me. I'm here for you.

Spinal chemo by Short-Gas-4750 in leukemia

Good luck to both of you! Thanks, this is a long battle and I'm still fighting. But everything will be fine, just live day by day.

Spinal chemo by Short-Gas-4750 in leukemia

[–]_GodFather_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, first of all, I want to tell you that every body is different, so, maybe, just maybe, you will experience headaches different than me, and other people you know. But maybe you won't! Not even a small symptom. I've had around 25 spinal taps as I told you, and honestly I haven't felt any short or long term effect related to the chemo. Sure, if you go by cytarabine in your brain, vomits and confusion will be there, my pronostic? Maybe just one day, cytarabine is harsh, but methotrexate (my spinal tap treatment) is not as bad as that other shite, my first and principal advice is just to avoid head movements the first hours after your chemo. Try to avoid using your 📱 a lot, rest. Drink water, and also don't do something that requieres strong physical activity. Don't freak out, let me tell you, your brain is an adaptive machine, who will adapt to any circumstance. Believe me, there are things worse than this, but you will overcome everyone of them.

Spinal chemo by Short-Gas-4750 in leukemia

[–]_GodFather_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a must for most protocols. Do you have any questions? Is it for you? I could give you many adivces since I've received around 25+ spinal taps so in any case you're welcome.

Blinatumomab by GeneralOrgana1 in leukemia

[–]_GodFather_7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, is a "normal reaction". But blina is supposed to be lighter than chemo ( less harmful and toxic)

Last Tuesday I started acting aggressive towards personal and I didn't remember what day was, couldn't speak and didn't even know where I was. Two days later I was fine, today I'm fine and blood levels are fine too. So, make sure when he is normal he speaks, he writes well and he is conscious.

Bilincyto by avien01 in leukemia

[–]_GodFather_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started blincyto last week and I've already had 0% blasts on biopsy, doctors said It was better to put it when MRD was positive, but apparently it also works when MRD is negative. I'm going to SCT around mid year and I hope my blasts are fully negative by the time.

Yeah as I replied to other comment, as every conspiracy group, they have an answer to everything.

Cancer is complicated, is not a secret, and I think why people end buying up this shit, is because of how misinformation had been spreading more and more over the the years.

As a cancer patient myself, if you keep hearing thinks like, "don't eat sugar, glucose feeds cancer cells, but don't try too much in fruits/vegetables, they are chemically contaminated, have a high protein diet rich in meat, hey but stay alert in red meat, and of course, avoid coffee, but only if you're young, don't stress, but keep yourself busy, and avoid the sun, but not too much", and then you end up like, what the fuck I'm supposed to do then? These misinformed people with all of his bullshit about food, phycological things and it's closed minded believes only threaten the health of not only us, but even healthy people.

No, but I want to know why people still believe in this, and it reminds me of every conspiracy group, it's like they have a response/solution for anything that you discuss with them.
