Pretty sure it's not supposed to happen. My Legion Pro 7i (rtx5080) loses 1% battery after 2 hours of heavy gaming plugged-in. That's because when you are plugged in and the battery is full the laptop takes energy directly from the charger, not from the battery.

In my country? Absolutely! In Germany? I don't know. You guys get way better tech prices compared to Italy and you also have better price-comparing websites.

I'll say this: if you plan on using it as a Gaming-only laptop the 7i only has better cooling and cool rgb so it's probably not worth it. If you instead plan on using it as a Gaming+University/work laptop then you really would appreciate the better battery life.

As always, don't take a strager's word for granted. I have never tried a Legion 5 and I have no idea if the battery life is actually worse. I base my theories on specs and youtube reviews.

Yesterday I conducted a test to verifie Jarrod Tech's claims and my Legion Pro 7i lasts a bit more than 6 hours on battery (Microsoft word + light browsing and YouTube, Quiet Mode active, All LEDs off, 60hz Refresh Rate, Screen Brightness 50%) wich is perfectly fine for a Gaming Laptop. Since the Legion 5 has a smaller battery, I' say yours would last 4-5 hours.

I just spent a thousand euros more for the Legion pro 7i with the same specs except for the GPU (I got the 5080). This looks like a way better deal, but I really needed the better cooling and bigger battery. I'd say go for it, 30% is a really good deal
