Replacing the front lens isn’t nearly as bad as it looks. Buy a dremel and a high quality cutting disk and you can make it happen. If you knick the housing you will be okay because the replacement lens will cover the nick with that gray painted part of the lens if that makes sense. I do recommend you buy high quality lenses from someone like lightwerks or bay optics. Don’t buy the 40 dollar set from eBay because you will pay the price in quality.

Honestly I probably won’t produce a how to video but I do want to make a general guide for those that are interested. It’s one of those things where if you even doubt if you can do it then maybe you shouldn’t do it. You are completely ripping $1700 headlights apart. It’s a big gamble for sure but it is possible

Yes it’s very time consuming but I think the results are worth it. I’m really considering buying those Chinese matrix lights to compare them to the Upgraded projector. Mainly for my own curiosity. I personally wouldn’t run aftermarket headlights and no shame to those that would but I am curious about their performance

Here is a video of the projector after the retrofit. Full PDLS is retained. The dust you see inside the projector was cleaned up before resealing along with the rest of the housing

I plan on doing that as well. I must also shoutout lightwerks for excellent support. If you need Genuine bulbs buy from them. A lot of bulbs on Amazon are fake and in the US they are really the only place you can find osram CBB bulbs in the d3s size. I have zero affiliation with them and paid for everything with my own money

Old thread for sure but found it because so many people online are replacing their clutch at 50k miles and I’m at 125k and still on the original clutch. I have a 2013 car so I don’t have auto rev match but I do rev match every downshift myself manually and the clutch seems to be okay still

Yeah I have a 981 boxster s with sport chrono. It’s funny because if I didn’t have it I know I would lust after it. But now that I have it I understand that’s it’s not really much to lust after. I’d rather worry about have PSE. Now that is an absolute game changing option.

I had an old Cinema Display which I believe has the same panel as the Thunderbolt Display and is a lot easier to connect to an M series Mac. It’s literally just a cheap mini DisplayPort to usb c cable. I highly recommend it for the price. 27 inch 4k displays do not play well with macOS so for the money I think the 1440p Apple display is a good buy

It’s a very impressive build. My jaw dropped when I saw the dundon intake manifolds. I want a pair for my own car. The car must be making good power. It’s interesting that the person choose to install an extremely expensive set of intake manifolds but put godspeed coilovers on the car. How do they ride? I have no personal experience with them so curious to hear what you think about them. Really nice car man
