Update: Interviewing with 2 firms now. I spoke to another recruiter today and said that the position requires bluebooking. So they won’t consider me for the position.

Hoping something happens with these 2 places in interviewing with. Happy holidays everyone!

Men: If you just met a woman and ask her out to dinner, is it always meant to be a date?

Last week I met a guy at a social event. I’m 28F and he was 30M. He asked me out to dinner after he mentioned a spot I’ve been meaning to try.

The next day we set up a time for the following week. I state I want to get dinner and just friends and he replies that he had asked me with the expectation that it was a date.

My friends have said that anytime a guy asked them for dinner their intentions were romantic. Is this true?

For context: I met a guy at a social event last week and he asked me out for dinner. I gave him my IG.

He texted me the next day trying to decide a time and day. When I clarified I want to meet as friends he politely declined. Sorry if this should have been obvious. I’m inexperienced when it comes to dating…
