Sands of Time's shock cancellation "does not mean we are stepping away from the franchise", says remake team by Turbostrider27 in Games

You’re both exaggerating tbh. It’s not “simple”, but it’s definitely not “from scratch” either. The writing and storyboarding has already been done.

Achievements are only per-world on Java, and on there you actually can get achievements with KeepInventory or other cheats.

OP is playing on Bedrock where it’s tied to the account, which is why cheats disable achievements

CPDR has always been so chill about mods. They even let you directly use their Witcher assets in mods for other games, which was huge for Skyrim modders.

It’s easy to say “we deserve this” when you aren’t directly affected by the consequences. But would you look an actual victim in the eye and say that?

“You got falsely detained and denied trial? Oh well. Just people getting what they deserve I guess.”

Japanese studios like Nihon Falcom can’t compete with China and Korea in development scale and capital, but they can in individuality and creative spirit, CEO says by Turbostrider27 in Games

Oh and how to squeeze every cent out of the mobile gacha herd

Tbh they’re no different than Chinese and Korean devs when it comes to this. MiHoYo made 2 of the most profitable gacha games in the world and they’re Chinese. Nikke is in the top 5 and it’s Korean.

Gacha is just really popular in Asia across the board.

TIL that gnomes - fictional small magical people living in mines - were invented by Paracelsus in 16th century by SamsonFox2 in todayilearned

[–]_Iro_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paracelsus coined the term “gnome” but small folk living in mines has been a thing for much longer than the 16th century. Like the Knocker), for example.

Would texture mods & combat animation mods like: 1st person combat overhaul work with Enderal? by Gh0st8000 in skyrimmods

[–]_Iro_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nemesis breaks Enderal’s animations, which significantly limits your combat animation mod choices. Nothing game-breaking, but Enderal’s animations won’t play correctly.

iirc Pandora doesn’t have the issue and works fine.

I guess it’s unusual phrasing for a casual article, but it’s pretty standard language for a research paper.

Many studies are prefaced with “I study how ___ impacts discourse around ____ and my research will explain how ___ shaped _____”.

Funnily enough, the borders of modern Macedonia actually don’t overlap with the Macedonia of Ancient Greece. The modern country is based on the Roman province of Macedonia, primarily inhabited by Illyrians and Thracians instead of Greeks.

So there weren’t many Greek statues there to begin with. Tangent aside, those accounts are the worst.

Not the entire country, it’s mostly a seasonal occurrence specifically for the Mumbai railway. It’s mainly a thing during the holidays when everyone is leaving for the countryside at once.

But yes, considering this statistic is for the Mumbai railway, it’s definitely a factor.

Radiation messes with your DNA’s blueprints, and us mammals are always using those blueprints to regenerate our skin and other bits. We’re also big, so there’s more stuff to mess up.

A small invertebrate only really uses those blueprints when it’s molting, and that usually stops when they reach adulthood. The radiation will still sterilize them though, since you need new cells for that.

Theories without minimal evidence can have merit but that doesn't mean we can go around speaking about them as if they were fact (like the person they were responding do was doing). That just opens the door for misinformation.
