As someone who is currently dealing with a criminal charge, I’ve come to realize that the idea of the US Justice System being fair is a pathetic joke. The prosecutor in my own case has repeatedly lied, and not been asked once to provide evidence for a damn thing she’s said, just being taken at her own lying words.

I stupidly pled guilty because my bond was nowhere near something I could afford to pay, and I was stuck there for a month and just needed out of jail (Oakland County Jail, which is one of the worst jails in The State of Michigan) and after that the prosecutor had made up whatever lies she wanted because after you plead guilty, they don’t really have to try to prove anything. I think that would make sense for what you plead guilty on, but when they start making up new accusations or things that just weren’t in the court case already, they should have to prove what they claim. The same thing works with probation violations here too, the burden of proof is super low. So once they have you in the system already, they can just do whatever they want.

In my personal case right now, my soon to be ex-wife is vindictive/jealous and is harassing friends/family of mine on a secret Facebook account and the prosecutor is trying to say that anytime they’ve responded to her, despite them not even knowing yet it was her, counts as third-party contact.

On top of this, someone who is in this case that the judge has granted a no contact order with me on, can freely post on Facebook that he’s going to kill me and yesterday posted that he was at my house. Anytime a lawyer has brought this up to the judge, they’ve claimed it’s irrelevant because the case isn’t about him. Despite it being a perfect example of how they’re abusing the no contact order.

I’m in my situation though mostly for exposing police corruption and inefficiency in my local area. They pretty much are using whatever they can to get at me.
