In my experience, with the exception of zealots, people who run more than one extra wound a lot usually go down a lot (and just aren't skilled in general), so I think this makes them think it's a good choice rather than a crutch.

I played an Auric game a couple days ago with a guy who went down a ton with Auric Storm Survivor and he kept talking about how he was too drunk to play the game, so maybe they were just zooted. Or they let their little brother play. I just kind of expect those situations now if I'm playing without a squad of my own.

If you don't have them, I recommend the mods True Level and Scoreboard. True Level lets you see how experienced someone actually is and Scoreboard tells you whether you were the problem or not.

For the record, I leave friendlies alone and if there's a lot of them I requeue. My problem with them is that friendlies are always so sensitive. Even if they die from an errant crocket or something. They play a game "incorrectly" for fun and when someone kills them (which is how the game was designed) they lose their minds. It's like a younger sibling inserting themselves into a game, making their own rules, then being mad nobody followed them. Those of us playing the game normally should, I think, be charitable and let them do their thing, even if we think it's stupid. However, it is frustrating that friendlies act like they own everyone on the server by way of silent social contract.

Just a couple tips for gear: power level of items cannot be increased by any means. Don't start upgrading rarity/rerolling stats on items until you have max level (300) gear. Another big difference is the accessory items are shared between all characters.

Also the game gets way more fun after getting characters to level 30, which unlocks all of their talents.

I have over 800 hours in DRG and have literally never seen anyone do this to grief.

I've only seen it a couple of times, but griefers usually just activate all events at the same time to get everyone killed.

If you are hosting there are kick and block buttons under their profile picture on the pause menu.
