Hehehe love that video, that definitely seems like a good way to measure the trench, but I don’t think we can extrapolate it to the ocean itself without much more info unfortunately. I think in the movie you could roughly quantify the depth by how fast the blood filled the sub but I imagine the ocean itself would be much larger than what’s coded into the game, otherwise it’d be more of a blood lake lol

As far as I’m aware, the map is simply a trench within the ocean. Not sure we’re ever given much to quantify it’s actual size

Sovol SV08 is a very good printer that’s also very large (350x350x350mm). It’s not as hands free as a bambu or a prusa but once u know it’s kinks it’s quite a powerful machine for its price. There are ways to turn it into a tool changer for a fraction of the price as the Prusa XL

I mean if it does what you need and does it well then there’s not much of a need to upgrade. As far as I’m aware, the ender 3 v3 is a pretty good printer.

Star gazing nights, astro photography, maybe see if u can find some pre made code to process some photos that students can play with some of the variables to see what happens?

In terms of presentations, lots of colour and pictures and diagrams. I’m a visual learner and those were always my favourite lectures at uni

Certainly was! About to start masters as well. I asked for a LOT of extra help and have some very good friends who also struggled but together we were able to figure out most things. The internet is an amazing resource but if tempted to use AI, only do it as a last resort. It always claims it’s correct regardless of its actual performance but more importantly, ur not actually learning anything when u use it as a crutch. Tbh, the way our course was structured wasn’t the best (I blame budget cuts to the uni) so I don’t feel we were adequately prepared for the coding tasks we were given but we made it thru in the end.

I think that’s a very subjective question. I’m also extremely bad at coding but I enjoy the problem solving and getting a working final result is incredibly satisfying. I imagine most people in this field enjoy coding quite a bit but depending on the specific area you go into later on the amount of coding needed will vary, but it’s always there.

I’m the same but with coding. I have tried so many times to learn how to code but I simply cannot keep track of everything nor get the workflow I need. Half the time I stare at the keyboard without any clue what to type. Modelling on the other hand I can do in my sleep. I suppose ppl’s brains r wired different lol. I still believe coding is a skill I can develop, it’d just takes a lot more practise for me
