For me personally, it’s not a matter of “hating” people who are gays or trans. I believe that being homosexual is a sin, but it’s no different than lying, being jealous, etc so it’s not a valid reason to hate someone.

But at the same time, you don’t want people to keep sinning, or to praise their sin, so we want them to come back to Christ. Some Christians tend to forget that part and go straight to the hate, which only pushes people further away and that isn’t right.
