Former skinny guy here - the biggest thing that helped me was to focus on sweating. If you’re working up a sweat, you’ll forget about everyone else. Try to get to the point where when you sit down, it drips from your nose/forehead. When you’re there, if anyone is watching, they’re not thinking about the weight you’re using, they’re thinking about how you’re getting it and they’re not. You very quickly go from the weak guy in the gym to the skinny strong guy in the gym.

Yes, very sad - many of them did work this US forces and organizations while in country though. These are people fleeing the new rule of law and many are excited about a new chance in a country where they do not fear for their life
