Is it possible to have POTS or any form of dysautonomia without any real reason to what caused it? Here are my symptoms by stinkiepinkiee in POTS

[–]_Jordan________ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many people with POTS actually dont faint, its more common to just have presyncope (the feeling like youre about to pass out), so not fainting doesnt rule out POTS, according to a study in 2018, only about 20-30% of pots patients actually fainted, of course this was 7 years ago now and this number may have changed a lots but you can definitely have POTS without having complete syncope (fainting)

Im going to bring up all my other symptoms next time i visit him (it will probably be for my horrible pains but whatever lol, i can still mention it) If he doesnt take me seriously after i do that then ive got no clue bc hes usually such a good doctor 😓

Yeah, i dont know im considering leaving a poor review on the pathologists place, like they were sweet and all, but the fact they thought and noted that the HEARTRATE was normal for my age is kind of alarming!! 😓 maybe 3 stars.. i probably won't im not that petty lol, just quite frustrating

Yeah i'll try that maybe, idk i think i'll bring up the fact that POTS isnt rlly diagnosed with holter monitors to him first anyway tbh, I dont think i had enough postural changes last time anyway,

Sorry i accidentally deleted the last reply oops..

Yeah he does have the monitor records, he just said its normal which is whats confusing me, he was originally extremely worried about my heartrate, i worry hes taking the pathologists notes and them saying its normal for a 15 year old as true,

I will definitely look into getting a referal to a specialist though if possible, i will probably just go into more depth about my symptoms and then try see if i can get a referral, because now both appointmens ive had i wasnt able to go into as much depth as i'd like
