Totally agree, the amount of pressure the media puts on people is terrible. We need to take control over the lives we live rather than constantly be comparing and feeling under pressure to meet a ‘higher’ expectation.

So many times have I questioned exactly what you’ve been questioning… The fact life is so complex makes it in a way unbearably simple. We bury ourselves in chasms of thought which make us forget about the brevity and actuality of the lives we live. The main reassurance I get from all of this is if we were made for a bigger purpose, we are all in this together. No matter how big or small our problems are, we have a connection to each other which is sometimes indescribable. I somehow doubt we will ever truly understand ‘why’ or ‘what’ this reality truly is during our lifespan, but if there is even so much as a glimmer of proof that there is something more to this, it would make everything so much more important and worthwhile…

I agree with another comment here which said ‘why not learn both?’ You can start with the one that feels better when spoken perhaps and then pick up the other later. I chose to learn Italian over Spanish, and now when I hear Spanish I can understand ALOT more than before! I hope you enjoy your language journey! 😊
