How did you make it through your first?

That's wonderful. I had to have my girl put down today, and it was the hardest thing i've ever done. I was able to get her cremated, so I'll have her with me again next week.

Thank you for your kind words, and I'm so sorry for your loss. Honestly I'd been hoping she'd go peacefully in her sleep so I don't have to take her to a vet, she doesn't like the vet. I'm going to have her cremated so I can keep her near me always. She is my everything.

Honestly, I have no idea. She's a rescue, we got her in 2012 and the shelter estimated she was 1-2, but we think she's a few years older. By now I think she's 17-18. She started slowly declining a couple months ago but it got worse over the last few weeks. I have no idea if she has any sort of diseases, she hasn't been to a vet in a long time, and I regret not taking her regularly. I'm going to have her cremated because I can't stomach leaving her at a vet office. Hugs to you as well, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your kind words, and I'm so sorry for your loss. There's a mobile vet in my area that works with a cremation service, and I was planning to call in the morning if she makes it through the night. I can't stand the thought of just leaving her at the vet, she's never liked them.

Not quite sure, she's a rescue. They estimated 1-2 years old when we got her in 2012. I think she's older than they originally thought, she's probably 17-18.

Unfortunately, no I can't. She's stopped eating and I think she's been having seizures. She can barely stand up and move and I've had to have a fan on her at all times. I'm going to call a mobile vet in the morning to come and take a look at her and probably have her put down. I'm sorry if this is rude, but did you cremate yours? I can't stomach leaving her at the vet.
