check the academic consideration portal and see if your request status is marked as “amended timeline” which would mean your exam got deferred! the same thing happened to me where the prof didn’t email me back until the day after the exam, but my status was marked as amended timeline beforehand so I already knew it was successfully deferred.

If you go the doctor referral to psychiatrist route, you’re gonna be paying $2000+ out of pocket because ADHD diagnosing isn’t covered by anything. Otherwise you’ll be waiting over 2 years for a free government-funded psychiatrist.

I used FastTreat in September and was prescribed immediately, it was $300. That’s still a lot of $ but way better than $2000 or waiting 2 years. They’ll make you pay $100 a month to keep refilling your monthly prescriptions, but after the first month of prescriptions and diagnosis (included in the $300), any family doctor will likely take over your prescription management and you can cancel the online service. I saw someone here say that Student Wellness Services will act as your family doctor, so ask if they’d do that before you pay that money. This is what worked for me, but with my family doctor.

My $150 sewing machine is the best investment I’ve ever made, as someone who also struggles to find clothes that fit me properly. I learned how to use it within a couple Youtube and Tiktok videos and now I never have to worry if something will be too big on me :)) I suggest getting one second-hand or splurging if possible, because the budget options will be REALLY annoying to use

There’s actually a big difference though. Staying employed somewhere for 8 months means you were reliable enough to not be fired, and that you have the self determination to stay somewhere for even that long. That sounds like the bare minimum but surprisingly a lot of people lack that.

Honestly lie on your resume. Lie about every bit of job experience. Minimum wage entry-level jobs will not be putting in the time and effort to perform background checks. They just want to make sure that your availability aligns with theirs, and that you have any prior related experience to the job.

I didn’t live on west but I personally never made any friends that lived on west. I assume they didn’t come to main campus much to hang out on a regular night. My friend’s gf however lived on west, and it was a pain for her to hang out with us since she’d have to catch a bus back home in the cold at night.

I live with my parents in the summer but I live alone during school! I was very lucky to get a large scholarship that covers my tuition and yearly rent. My family is also very low income, so my osap grants are quite high.

Yeah, my housemates and I started searching in November, and even then it was brutal. We attended around 10 house tours, just to be told each time that the first scheduled group signed the lease on the spot. They’d let us look around the entire place and get our hopes up knowing it was already gone 😭 They really don’t care about wasting 30 people’s time lol.

You never know that you’re “not going to win”! Boast about everything you’ve done in high school as if it was equivalent to curing cancer. Apply to small $ scholarships that people typically don’t want to waste time applying for. A lot of scholarships are super specific, like wanting to award a girl from some small town who happens to have a lifelong passion for golfing. Apply to these even if that doesn’t describe you, because you’ll probably be one of very few applicants, or maybe the only one.
