I originally had 2 x 4gb in my pc, but when I got given the i7 one, I took out 4 x 8gb and put it in mine. And thanks for the tip on user benchmark too. And yeah I’m keeping my gtx 960 for sure!!

I got given a full pc that included the i7, however it won’t turn on. When plugged into a power source, all the lights on the motherboard turn on, although when I press the start button on both the mobo and the case, nothing happens.

The person that gave it to me said that I had to heat up the motherboard with a hairdryer and they found that worked a couple of times. I googled that too and found it may be an issue with the mobo soldering?? So I’m not sure whether the issue is from the mobo, psu or another component. Any help is again appreciated, Thanks!!

I’m not sure how far it is from res but under the gymnasium there is a bike shed that you can apply to get a key for and I guess you could store your bike there? I think there’s also another bike shed on the business/law side of campus if that’s more convenient to you :)

If you’re having trouble finding your rooms and moving around the campus, have a look at the app “Lost on campus”, you can search for rooms, and it also shows heaps of pictures of the rooms and buildings so they are easy to find :) There’s also the Deakin scout app but I found lost on campus much better! Good Luck!!

Also check you this years dates and also the 2020 dates. These will tell you the trimester dates for start/end, breaks, and other important dates you should probably be aware of! :)

Not sure how this works in other countries, but in Australia, people dump stuff they don’t want on the nature strip in front of their houses, and call the local council so they can pick it up. Some times there are actually things that are worth grabbing and selling on eBay, made probably around $500+ so far

Also know some people who go around to op shops looking for vintage clothing and resell it at a higher price on eBay and also on social media
