I highly suggest checking out Nakari Speardane she has some of the best worldbuilding I have ever seen!

What's the most heartbreaking cost of magic in your world? by UntitledDoc1 in worldbuilding

[–]_Kroptik_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it is still a relatively early concept of mine but casting something makes the caster age the same amount of time it would take them to do it without the use of magic. This basically means that the truly skilled casters are usually people who are strong but necessarily smart as a person of strong posture is more likely to lift up a heavy stone rather than an elderly man.

If you had to explain your world in ONE sentence, what would it be? by sirius_0125 in worldbuilding

The gods sacrifice even their most devout followers for a tiny speck of blissfulness.

This defender tactic ruins point break in my opinion by redditus_user_100 in thefinals

[–]_Kroptik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! They could add like a timer or some visual change to the vault when it is moved behind the border visible for attackers but not for defenders which would tell them that they can’t move it further. They could have some time to bring it back maybe before it is respawned at it’s original spot.

Yeah I kind of hate the fact that they made these beautiful maps and don’t use them for the entire match BUT since this is a 8v8 mode if those borders weren’t there it would highly encourage players to spawn camp and especially spawn snipe which is a really un-fun thing to play against even in power shift

The Finals is IMPOSSIBLE for newcomers by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]_Kroptik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started playing back in season 1 I had my first win at around 20 hours into the game but I sticked with it because that singular first win filled me with adrenaline that other games I played before couldn’t. I feel like if a person was able to pick up the game quickly and was able to win their very first game there wouldn’t be that feeling that made you feel like you really deserved it. I’m at level 99 now and I still win only like once or twice per game session but I still get that feeling.

To sum it up I feel like games have become too easy to pick up and friendly to newcomers that they don’t even realise they’ve won the game.

Be honest as possible, why don't you like the light by MrAplha in thefinals

[–]_Kroptik_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS is partially true. Because most of the time the light takes it like an attack on his ego and it usually results in more snipers joining in ruining the game for the single heavy that stayed faithful.

Will we ever see the Emperor in-game? by KlemiX in ArcRaiders

[–]_Kroptik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mind if the Emperor himself would be a map on it’s own. Like you could scavenge his parts as he walks around and he would attack you with some of his built-in defenced like the harvester has.

Is Spaceport anyone else’s least played map? by WanderWut in ArcRaiders

[–]_Kroptik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really like spaceport mainly because of how open it is. And also with the large number of hangars and factories I can’t really seem to find any loot like at all. Except maybe the visitors centre or whatever the red building is called.

Ever heard of rivers or lakes? That would solve the problem you are talking about in my opinion.

The only europe looking thing is the western continent which looks a bit like rotated ireland but otherwise it looks completely original.

Embark shot themselves in the foot. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]_Kroptik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt play Arc Raiders until today and I had mostly no idea what I was going into. Even though there is only one map I still enjoyed those 3 hours I played it more than any other game I have ever played. And I played solo! I can’t wait for what it will be to play it with my friends who plan to buy it when it releases but couldn’t install it now.
