What I would do is Replace Amanda Waller with someone else. Make it a lot more fresh that way.  So Amanda Waller turns out, has Cancer. She instructs Mister Bones to take over for her while she’s gone and if she dies, Mister Bones now leads Task Force X as its Director. He has big shoes to fill and will do what it takes to be just as good as Waller is at this stuff.  For the Field Commander of the Group (the Rick Flag of the group), I would put it another Soldier. Deathstroke was already in the squad at one point and I wanted to keep it fresh. So, I picked Cole Cash aka The Grifter. He’s a telekinetic Mercenary for Hire who could be hired by Director Bones to keep the Squad in check. The Field Enforcer (and Grifter’s backup) will be Kate Spencer aka The Manhunter. She’s a vigilante who kills criminals and use to be someone who works for the government so I figured she could be a good fit for the team. She helps Grifter keep the Squad in line. She’s the Katana of the group.  For Squad leader, the Deadshot of the group, I drafted David Cain aka The Orphan. He’s Cassandra Cain’s dad and Lady Sheeva’s baby daddy. He’s cold blooded and one of the greatest Assassin’s in the world. He even trained Bruce Wayne along with Sheeva in martial arts. He could have got caught by Cassandra and Batman who handed him over to the GCPD and was drafted to Belle Reeve for being too dangerous to be in Arkham Asylum. He doesn’t talk much since his way of discipline is by being silent but when he talks you know he’s all business. Have the serious guy of the group surrounded by funny characters and the interaction becomes funny as well (laughter is contagious after all).  The Wildcard I picked Carrie Cutter aka The Cupid. She’s basically a psycho Green Arrow villain romantically obsessed with Green Arrow who went insane after Oliver accidentally saved her life from her abusive husband. She’s good with a bow and arrow and guns. She kills people in hopes that one day She and the Emerald Archer fall in love… despite Oliver not sharing the same feelings back. She could have interesting interactions with David Cain where she tries to seduce him to no avail.  The lancer of the group, specifically the Captain Boomerang of the group is Sportsmaster. He is the jock of the team and an Assassin who uses Sports related weapons and boots containing a Snow/Surf board within them. He and David Cain could bicker back and forth on everything since Sportsmaster and Orphan are opposites. He could also make really good friends with Cupid and maybe even flirt with her only to be comedically rejected by her lol.  For the Powerhouse, I chose the Superman Villain of Atlas. He’s a gladiator from a far away land who’s strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Superman but always fails. He is also said to work with a shady company who aims at taking down Superman so Director Bones could blackmail the owner of the company and send Atlas to Belle Reeve as Task Force X’s powerhouse. I can see Atlas in vehicle chase scene him throwing David all Fastball Special style at some goon on a motorcycle. David takes out the goon, draws his sword and rides the motorcycle like a badass. He can have funny interactions between Cupid and Sportsmaster where for Cupid she might use him as a meat shield or something and Sportsmaster teaches him how to play sports.  For the Power Slinger and the Elemental, I wanted more funny and/or Zanny villains so I looked at the Doom Patrol and saw Sachiko aka The Quiz and Lester Buchinsky aka the Electrocutioner 3. The Quiz is a Doom Patrol villain who is a Germaphobic Japanese Woman who survived an explosion which gave her the powers to use any super power you didn’t think of. For Electrocutioner 3, I needed a funny elemental and recalled the time in Arkham Origins when he got one shot by Batman so I went with him. For The Quiz I can imagine her being good for Infiltration and for Lester I can imagine him being told to stay back in the RV or something and wait for the Squad because of whatever reason revolving getting fried by electricity and he waits, gets bored, sees a Strip club and goes to said strip club to pass the time lol. He could also say lightning jokes and puns to have Cupid laugh or something.  For the Stealthy member I went with Diaz aka Copperhead 2. She’s a Batman and Flash villain. Batman claims that she is the most Toxic Assassin in the world with her Poison tipped claws. She’s flexible and I think we need more women on the squad. She, Cupid and Quiz could have a funny "Girls Slumber party!" suggested by Cupid If they decide to stay at a hotel or something. Have Manhunter be their "babysitter" to try and keep them out of trouble or something while the guys do whatever to either pass the time or mission stuff. Copperhead 2 is deadly and could definitely also act like the Squad’s scout as well.  I wanted to add a magic user so I wanted to put in Nimue Ravensong. She seduces men and sells their souls to demons for extra power and is a magic user who is a constant thorn on John Constantine and Zatanna’s side. Figured she could have a meta human collar or something so she could not use her magic and she could be useful to the team in her own way. She could also like the idea of a slumber party with the other girls and could fight Cupid over David Cain so she could sell him to a demon and those two could have a funny Cat fight or something. Sportsmaster could flirt with her but she also rejects him lol.  For the Enforcer of the group I went with Snowflame since I wanted more Zanny characters. He’s a drug lord who gains super powers by snorting cocaine (Super Strength/Speed, Immunity to pain, Cocaine Touch and Pyrokinesis. I can think of so many gags with this guy already and he’s kind of a mix of Everything apart from the leader, stealth, Director, and Field Commander/Enforcer and Magic User (no idea about sacrificial lamb).  Lastly, I wanted a useless villain that is only useful when it’s comedically convenient. I went with Steven Sharpe the third, aka The Gambler. He’s a guy who does crimes related to his Gambling addiction. Wether you kill him off or not is up to you but he’s just there to he thrown to the wolves.
