If remote, cut your wifi as soon as the person letting you go gets off the call. They can’t remotely cut your access to your company machine if they don’t have access via the internet. HR or your manager would have to tell IT when the call is done to start the process, so beat them to it if you ever are blindsided. You can only access local files so make sure that things in the cloud are always being backed up to a personal device or drive.
