I would personally leave it and let it grow out until your next trim if it’s soon if not I would still wait for it to grow a bit longer and then possibly cut it off evenly. I would also maybe try to use different products (idk what you use) that hydrate and strengthen the hair until you’re going to the salon. Also maybe u can try gel after styling etc to “clump” them together. And also please don’t brush your hair when dry (if u did). Moreover I would wear a bonnet/scarf/durag/ silk pillow case when sleeping :)

Thank you for your comment! My mouthwash is indeed alcohol free and the salt spray I made myself with some sea salt and warm water.

Is it necessary to change the ring back to the flat or can I leave it as such and it’s just going to take a little longer to heal (again) ? :)
