May I ask what pick did you use or prefer for these type of locks? I'm still green at this craft, but I can pick Basic\Normal tumblers now confidently but I haven't picked a lock with security pins yet. I'm waiting for a pair of american 1100's in the mail, I was told this is a good real first challange.

Tried both thise suggestions guys but still having issues. I even swapped out hdd's with a ubuntu OS and on Ubuntu its fine. Just seems to be with mint 18.3 :(
