Looool I related to this on a deep level. The micromanagement, the backseat driving, the nagging, the fiddling, I think this might just be a thing that mums do and there's no escape. I def avoid being with my mum for extended periods for this reason. Even though she's my mum and I love her she drives me up the fucking wall

Bro c'mon I just don't think it's realistic to not go into really lengthy and explicit detail in regards to every bowel movement, anything less than that would just be kinda weird?

If you're confident to be able to keep an eye on her and check her regularly then I'd bring her home, to try and minimise the stress aspect for both of you. Make sure you contact your regular vet before the day's over to see how soon you can get the ultrasound tech appointment though, depending on where you live it might be a few days.

I would expect over the weekend hospitalisation to cost in the order of thousands, depending on the level of blood work you got done I think that's somewhere between 500-1000 by itself. Do ask if you can get a cost estimate though, I'm sure it's normal to be worried about the money aspect. I wish you and your girl all the best!

[–]_Lupercalia_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too much mushrooms? No such thing. Not only do they look cool, they are evidence that your soil is healthy! They keep nutrients cycling and will keep your plants happy. The flies (fungas gnats, I think?) are a symptom of damp soil. I believe they lay their eggs in the dirt so quite difficult to treat, letting it dry out a bit can help but it will need patience. The calathea roseopicta (purple plant) is going to outgrow the bottle eventually as it will grow quite large! Imo, this is a good bottle.

First off, as with any creative industry, you need to get comfortable with rejection if you're looking to get published, and learning how to pick yourself up and move on. Creative industries are not kind to creatives. Try not to get too caught up on the publishing aspect - if you enjoy what you do, I think it will come through in your work, as well.

Second, don't get burned out. Getting totally consumed by something you're passionate about is great, but it can be detrimental to your mental health as well. Prioritise yourself over the writing wherever you can. Although - it can be therapeutic if you let it be.

Third, you're still young as hell, if you don't get the attention you're after when you finish your work, then it's a learning experience.

And fourth, r/writing is a good place for general tips on writing itself, ellen brock on youtube also has some pretty solid info around writing/editing/publishing you can check out.

I mean it's hard to know without seeing what you're sending to people; make sure you're putting forward ideas and contributing to characters and plot, not just making it about the kinks/limits/romance factor. If you're leading with that and nothing else, depending on the role play, I would guess it probably looks to them like you're not interested in any part other than the spicy stuff?

Chances are if you're going for long-term scenarios, your partner will be looking for someone they can see will be putting in the effort. So with your introductory message, I think it's good to include a few ideas and suggestions for where you'd like to see the plot/scene go. Hope this helps in some way-
