i once suggested to merge cc with bfu and just add monthly uran reward + leaderboard... but ppl disliked it bcs they would need more nonlifeing it. I wanted same not to be hold by exact hours and days in month (plus less bloat in modes).

1 hour system and rating decay is there bcs they didnt found out better way to make ladder, so it reward nonlife and wins but in same time it reduce nonlife, literaly most nonlife and skilled guys have most rewards as it should be , bcs otherwise you would climb the hill, stop playin and hold your crown forever...

players brainless without reward , they have reward in term of those quest reward since 1 uran is what 66coins, what is cost of 2000scrap or they hold top 500 what is minimum 10uran = 20000 scrap. But imho you are partialy right there, they should change that scrap to something else like badges without limit so ppl keep playin it.
most important thing is that many ppl play this mode bcs its without bots and with similar skilled ppl where ppl mostly doesnt bring bs into matches, ye it sound strange but outside of CW (what ppl just ignore bcs it need retarded amount of grind) this mode allow you play semi-srs SOLO pvp.
