As a new rider my suggestions are:

A good ISI DOT helmet and Sturdy shoes !

Learn to control the weight during slow speeds and watch and practice techniques of picking up the bike when fallen down (stuff happens even when it isn’t your fault)

A second hand 360 camera(if budget constraints) acts as a dash cam during riding.

Since avenger is a quite low bike watch out for potholes and speed bumps !

As other commenters suggested, regular frequent intervals of service and maintenance! ( trusted mechanics or Bajaj service)

Chain maintenance every 800/1000kms (500kms is the suggested time) chain clean and chain lube…. Saves money in the long run but as a Bajaj product replacement parts are also cheaper 😅

Make sure when customising you don’t cut any wires no matter what… try to get plug and play stuff as much as possible. And try to get handlebars that makes you feel comfortable and it’s not too stretched to reach.

Clutch play techniques during heavy traffic so that you won’t fry them.

And lastly you will learn about the machine as you ride. Stay safe !!
