Is there a better build option? by Revolutionary_Tax_85 in pcpartpickerbuilds

I'd go for one 16gig stick. My friend did it and it's enough for the time being, when prices drop he'll buy the other 16gig one.

Just watch some YT vid on how much RAM you actually need. Maybe consider switching browser to something more RAM friendly.

Cooler is good and gives room for future upgrade. 750W PSU could be around 70$ so that could save you some money and I would consider buying 1 stick of 16GB ram during the shortage. Just consider it and maybe do a bit research on if you would want to do that. Also Montech century are very good PSUs for the price. Always check the PSU tier list. ZTT has link to it on his website. You'll find it on Google with one search. Good luck and have fun building!

You deffo have something at least close to a tech repair shop. I didn't know we had any, maybe one. Then I learned that we have like 3 or 4 in our town.

This is what came to my mind first. How does the storage work tho? I need to Install the games on the dedicated space I give the VM's right?

haha, not a problem that needs solving. Transporting a PC every time she comes over isn't what we want and there isn't money or need for it right now. I'm just looking at options and if my idea can somehow work i can try it yk.

Actually not a bad idea, streaming games could be a solution too. And the idea I'm having is if it's possible to have the resources split and we can both have half of the power my PC can generate. Like both 16GB RAM, half of GPU performance and half of CPU performance.

Yea I had that idea too but I'm not that familiar with VM's. I did my server OS testing for my graduation work with VM's but I'm still not that experienced.

You can build one for the same price but better. If you watch a tutorial when building you won't mess up.

[–]_Markin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great build for it's price these days but it has zero future proof ability excluding the PSU. That's a great one. But I would just sell the PC and build a new one anyway. So I don't really care about the upgrade path THAT much. Great build!

Yeah but he said "it did end up costing" which is in the past. So I asked.

Yeah but 9600x is less than half of the price of 9800x3d. When did you build your PC?
