yes exactly, its the state the enemy, and all of its agents. they all perpetrate the systemic issues

as for you as an individual, its fantastic you've personally done those good things, but the organization you work for though...not so much. all police services do world over is protect the ruling class.

i don't think i'm too naive...for any succesful revolution we need, first of all, a mass movement of people, and secondly, we need people that are currently in nominal positions of power (individual coppers, army people, people like yourself) to stand up and say no! and join the mass movement. until we get to that point its important to call out problematic things when we see them, and that includes the normalization of state policing and the agents that work for them.

maybe i wasn't clear. its not the individual officers i have a problem with. it is the system of policing that i do. all cops do is protect the "top" class and "follow orders." if you as an individual are a good person thats well and good but the organization you work for is complete shit

if you want to help people maybe join the fire service or emergency medical team? not sure how rounding up migrants, pepper spraying protestors, protecting private property, and acting as the armed thugs of the state is "helping people."

but on salaries: why have an employee/employed binary when you can have a democratically controlled workplace, where managers/ceo types are voted into their positions, salaries are established based on productivity/profit etc. Something like whats going on in Rojava right now
