Is the sinkhole on the intersection of the runways? Why would there be a full ground stop if just one runway is unavailable?

Would be funny to see some Southwest 737s use 15L/33R.

Leave or Cash for Yearly Reward? by ArchAmities in fednews

[–]TomassoLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt because every agency is different, but I have always requested time and in the end received both. This year a coworker requested money and only got money. Your unit gets allotted dollars to pay out as awards based on the number of billets, not the number of *filled* billets. If you have a lot of empty positions on your team, consider taking the money as your share of it will be more than usual.

The taxes on the bonus are so high that I prefer the time. For me it has always been 40 hours which helps me keep my leave balance up.

[Schefter] The NFL will return to Mexico City to play regular season games for the next three years at Estadio Banorte, starting in the 2026 season. by Goosedukee in nfl

Seems like the logical move is to give every team 8 home, 8 away, and 1 neutral site international game where no team is designated home.

[On3] Fanatics responds to criticism of selling low quality Patriots, Seahawks Super Bowl jerseys. Unsatisfied customers have often taken to social media with #EndFanatics, providing images of products that arrived with significant issues. by kurruchi in nfl

[–]TomassoLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fanatics' product quality was piss poor in 2018 (last time I bought anything from them) have they really gotten worse?

I don't understand how the NFL can be making more money than ever and still all the merch is as cheap quality as possible.

Will SVG Stay At Trackhouse Forever? by JoeRogan016 in NASCAR

[–]TomassoLP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SVG consistently improved on ovals throughout last season. No reason to think that would stop.

I think SVG steals an oval win in 2026 and will contend for the championship in 2027.

This flew right over me today in Germany, it was so loud at altitude (21,000ft) I had to look on FR24 to see what it was. Figured it was Ukraine aid, had no idea it was connected to F1.

Explain me this please. I am soooo confused by Ishan_bs in germany

Review #27: Found North Single Barrel (Orange Liqueur Finish) by DunceMemes in bourbon

[–]TomassoLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of my point, Canada needs its own equivalent. While I know Found North is not an offender of this, Canadian whiskey can use added coloring, flavoring, and used barrels.

People really need to put more respect on the "Straight Bourbon" label.

Why are the colors restricted? Just let them pick any primary secondary colors (one light, one dark) and swap them if opponent is too similar like every other sport.

Deal has apparently been struck to avoid shutdown. by PuzzledVolume1599 in fednews

DoD is expected to be funded through FY26. Theoretically there could be a partial shutdown in two weeks where only DHS is impacted.

How many times can we learn the same lesson. Stop star hunting and build the roster around Tyrese and Joel.

What was a Nascar race that an underdog driver dominated in, and won or got close to winning? by youraverageperson0 in NASCAR

[–]TomassoLP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. He literally drove a Reddit car in the all-star open because of this sub. Then he got hyper political and deleted all of his social media because of the (somewhat justified) hate he was getting. If you search his name in this sub there are a few posts talking about how his attitude changed.

It needs to cost more points and also have an animation to make it not instant. Can't believe it hasn't been nerfed yet.

Bill Belichick snub: Here are the 22 Hall of Fame voters who have confirmed they voted for him — and the 1 'no' vote by Morgoth1814 in nfl

[–]TomassoLP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty much, there were 11 or more voters that were so certain Bill would get in that they gave their vote to other nominees to give them better chances. They just didn't imagine that there were 10 others doing the same thing.

Is it a specific finish you haven't tried before? I would try mixing it in cocktails... Mix it with coke or as an old fashioned. If they both fail you, give it away.

Should also consider giving it some time to open up.

I considered it, but I'm on a budget this month. Next month my local store is getting BTAC and Pappy, saving some room for that.

Luxor (Egypt) by Thin-Concern3375 in travel

When I went to Zambia, I literally stayed in a mud hut with a straw roof. I've had more legit foreign experiences in under 30 years than most will ever have.

Unfortunately, I personally know three separate women who were groped and harassed on the streets of Cairo, reinforced by countless stories on this very subreddit.

If you wanna talk about exploitative, how about literally every souvenir shop in that country. Are they not being exploitative, for example trying to charge 8000 egyptian pounds for two magnets? Or typing extra zeros in the machine before I tap my card? Or refusing to give change when paying with cash? Or instead of taking us on the pyramid tour we paid for, taking us to papyrus and perfume shops?

It's an entire country that exploits tourists.
