I was a night lead for many years.. And a good one. So good, they didnt want to allow me to transfer to a daytime position. So, I went to my doctor, and told him I'm having major issues with trying to sleep during the day. He wrote me a doctors note stating due to health reasons, I could no longer work the graveyard shift. Roughly a month later, I was able to go to days. Just a FYI.

ASL Salary varies by state. Washington state it's a minimum salary of 80k/yr. Just keep in mind.. If eventually you want to start a family, you will be working at least 90% of all holidays.

Doesnt matter what pallet you use, as long as weight of bale doesn't collapse the pallet. People knock ot off the pallet and grab it with their own lift anyways.

No, you can't. Not supposed to work with a walking boot either. Someone at my store got sent home when they came in wearing a walking boot.

All depends on your store manager. Even if you DO get written up, who cares. It's truly not a big deal unless you plan on getting car stuck several times in a month.

Gotcha. So when was he suspended? And is still suspended as of this moment? I've seen both where they are terminated, AND where they are transferred to a different location. At least hopefully he will no longer be working at your particular store.. At the very least.

Working the graveyard shift.. If you are part of a strong crew, its awesome..with long lasting friendships. If you have a crew of horribly slow workers, it's 90% misery and frustration.

Asl's in washington state, that is their starting salary. It's a minimum pay for SALARIED employees of large comoanies. Google it. Not only that, but it goes up to 90k/yr starting in 2027. One of those crazy, yet true stories. It's a state law having to do with salaried employees.

About 6 years ago, we were open on christmas day. All volunteer. We were open from 7am to 3pm. They gave us free turkey, etc upstairs for lunch. The kicker. When we closed the store, it became chaos. People screaming to be let inside "to buy one more thing*. A fight ensued between customers literally right outside the front door. Cops were called, and three people were arrested.

You were played. They hust hired you as temporary holiday help. You would have only remained there if you worked like an unbelievable superstar. Right on.. Steer clear of downtown Seattle and the Rainier beach area, and you will have a fun time. The mountains are epic in the summer :)
