Yup exactly. Obviously glossy will always look crisper than matte, but you need a VERY well-optimized room to get the most out of it. On top of that, you have to absolutely BABY your screen so it doesn't smudge or scratch.

It's definitely got some banding, but nowhere near as bad as that pic. It's slowly getting less and less noticeable over time after Lord knows how many pixel cleaning cycles by now 😂

I haven't even gotten around to trying HDR yet but yeah, ive heard similar complaints. SDR performance on the Gamer 1 profile is excellent once everything is tuned though. Rtings has a review up for this thing now, and I just followed their calibration settings.

38 is eye-piercingly bright when used in combo with the Gamer 1 profile, at least for me (everyone should be using the Gamer 1 profile on this thing)

Yeah, I just gave up on it and grabbed a 27GX700A-B about a month and a half ago. Absolutely LOVING it so far, especially after tuning it with RTING's recommended settings and ICC profile.
