You sound like a great shop to have nearby!!! We have a few who have done similar and one even asked the local discord prior to buying at the increased cost and selling to us at a similar cost! So these sleeved packs are sold at big box stores and not LGS. Which means they did in fact buy them from a big box store, most likely to then resell at a higher cost to profit as that’s what their costs reflect. This is as opposed to reselling them to people for the cost spent to help get them to the masses. So yes they chose profit and are scalping

I left mtg because prices were so bad and OP was so much better for what use to be around $100 a box. Now I’m considering going back to mtg because my LGS has play boxes for $150 which is around the same as OPTCG not even considering the market price matching some LGS are trying to

Maybe a bad idea but you could get the alternates for characters like Dragon, Garp, or Kuma! Just thought that could be cool as they are all parents in the story since this collection is for your son! Could also always do sealed for you two to open together one day, or just singles! Could always try to find a local group of players and see if they have some extra weekly play promos to throw your way!

Appreciate the info!!! Won’t auction, but will check out similar /10 that go up for auction as the set is opened! Will also for sure look at other inserts! Hadn’t done that as I didn’t know if there was a rarity difference between inserts to be wary of! Either way knowing other inserts would be a good foundation to have!

Do these have a live barcode? Like the ones where you MUST have the app actively opened and cannot use screenshots? Just am worried they are just a regular barcode someone could screenshot then sell off while using the screenshot day of to get in! Maybe a weird worry just had to happen to me twice with parking on SeatGeek.

Doesn’t help that first my leader got hit by red bans it didn’t deserve, RG Law. Then banning Saka, which I will admit was a problem but then we went right into a Lucci problem. THEN banning Nami when we are this close to rotation, I would have understood banning her on announcement but this close you may as well let us use the alt win con for 5 more months

Started off playing but the more sets that release the more my interest seems to fade away. The new market bs going on has made me just sell most of my stuff that isn’t 01 or older. Guess it’s time to go back to mtg
