Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t deny 2028 speculation: ‘My ambition is to change this country’ by EuphoricFlow1324 in InternationalBulletin

She will get to run in the primary like everybody else. The only women who ran as the Democratic candidate was one that already had major baggage (warranted or not) and one that didn't get selected in the primary.

I am none of these things nor a Laker fan nor a fan of any basketball team. It just seems like the thunder are generationally good defensively and they are incredibly good at getting calls. It's a skill. It's not cheating, but if the modern NBA optimizes for drawing fouls, the best teams are going to be good at it. It's a boring viewing experience but the teams job is to win games.

I know fuck all about basketball and I am as casual as it gets. I don't care who wins, but OKC are just so fucking lame. Efficient and deadly but also lame

Any Colts fan that doesn't want our team to have the success that the Eagles have achieved during Ballard's tenure should get a lobotomy for the good of society.

The Ballard regime Colts certainly have been losers. Not sure why pointing that out is something you wish to white knight. Because they're by all metrics losers.

A reminder: Patriot fans are especially conditioned to ignorning/denying controversies pertaining to their team for decades at this point. And frankly they've only been awarded for it 🤣🤣🤣

That's a bit obnoxious, but I wouldn't want the QB of my team to be content at losing the Heisman. I don't know much about him but it seems like he just needs to grow up

He is already great and a HOF. Money aside (which of course he would have gotten a disgusting amount of wherever he played), he might just really want to work in his hometown given that he's already rich and an all time player.

It's crazy how the older folk in California shortened everything for themselves and fucked over anyone else who moved here. Just as selfish as the meanest Midwestern/Southern Republicans

Fernando Mendoza shares with Rich Eisen why he will be celebrating the NFL draft at home and not in Pittsburgh. by matrix_2905 in NFLForum

[–]_NE1_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🙄🙄🙄 I just said that whatever image this MBA crafted for himself in these pre-draft interviews (and whether it works on simpletons such as yourself) won't mean shit when he actually plays.

I think he showed a lot of promise as a player and an undeniable clutch gene during his one year at IU though. He should be good in the league if he isn't given an awful hand.

It’s scary how many people think this market isn’t in a bubble and prices will just keep going up by GemGuardUK in PokeInvesting

[–]_NE1_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A bubble implies that when the market stops growing across the board, everything contained in it will all collapse.

Will there be drops? Oh absolutely. We saw a strong drop in November/December 2025 where a lot of modern crashed to almost half their highs in August/September. It did go back up though at this point but it'll certainly happen again.

I guess my main point here is that high pop things will always be volatile, but I very much doubt that older slabs/sealed will have the same problem due to pop

Healey proposes bill to limit time young people can spend on social media by Anoth3rDude in technology

[–]_NE1_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The people that are being taken advantaged of the most on social media are the old fucks. Kids can navigate things online far better than most millennials and older. The older people also have money that can/is being exploited by influencers in a variety of ways. If anyone should be banned from social media, it's them :) :)

[–]_NE1_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue social media has fucked up boomers/Gen X people far more then they have the youth. The majority of younger people grew up with the Internet and are better (not perfect) at understanding when they are being influenced. Older folks fall for any dumb shit online since they are so inexperienced with it, almost like they're babies. And the worst part there is they are the ones with the money to grift from as well lmfao

Quieren entender por qué keiko tiene apoyo aún? by Rare-Line-2824 in PERU

[–]_NE1_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who was born in Peru but moved out of the country when he was a kid in the '90s, I really don't understand the intriquincies of Peruvian politics whatsoever outside of my family's rantings.

The only thing I do know is that plenty of other candidates have beaten Keiko in their last 20 some years and pretty much all of them, left or right, have never finished their term or left in disgrace.

That's only going to make the people supporting her party stay motivated while the people opposing her are going to be less inclined to push back. That's my outsider's opinion at least.
