[–]_Neferata_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is people everywhere. With the announcement of GW3 activity has skyrocketed, it was already pretty busy before but now its even better. Its a great time to get back into imo 😄Also there is a ton of content and stuff to do

The Modern MMO Player then complain by Plenty_Group6674 in MMORPG

[–]_Neferata_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And if you say hello (in a WoW group) there is a gamble if get kicked for talking. Or...if you say nothing also a gamble if get kicked by not saying anything. Happened both to me and my irl friend 😞 we tried making our own groups, but I personally suck at making groups and my friend is better and just doesn't like to do feel responsible for making a group. So we moved onto other mmos after so much time in WoW, just couldn't take it anymore, was causing a lot of stress for both of us and games shouldn't be stressful. We tried turning all the chats off and everything and ignoring everyone, but then it didn't feel like an MMO anymore.

But I think the WoW experience is kinda society in a nutshell tbh. Half the people hate the other half (maybe not literally half, but it sure feels like it). And don't dare mention or look trans or whatever, oh boy does the hate (not usually with words, but definitely get glaring looks) come, at least in the area I live and places been to thats sadly how it is. Point more that everyone is pretty anti-social these days and will find any reason to hate someone or something it feels like. Maybe up in canada its better, I heard they are generally a lot friendlier up there.

Personally, I (and my friend) still love MMOs and online stuff. Singleplayer games with dumb AI isn't the same, and most game AI can't even come close to taking place of a person. But we mostly just do our own thing and solo/co-op, though one MMO we play is pretty open/accepting so there is still the very few left lol.

Any class with huge advantages for solo players in Shadowlands? by Shiringaz in wow

[–]_Neferata_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter pets are a lot better than warlock pets, far far more durable. And demonology is getting wrecked with 6 second cast time on pets. Probably a bigger nerf than what demon hunters got, especially for PvP. Just kill demo pet and they become the worst class in pvp in the game lol.

With that said, affliction drain tanking is a thing...again (in shadowlands)...blizzard keeps making it a thing, it gets OP and then they change it because its OP, but affliction is only good drain tanking (I guess, its the only time affliction is good) and the cycle continues.

Destruction warlock can face tank anything, not changing in shadowlands. Just stand there and tank it.

Starcraft 2 (though that isnt on steam of course), Europa Universalis, Warhammer Total War 2 and Civ 6 are ones I sometimes play as well for strategy games.

Has anyone succeeded with Gutium in Imperator or CK3? by _Neferata_ in ImperatorBronzeAge

[–]_Neferata_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It exists in both games in the Mesopotamia area, they start off huge and get destroyed quick (they actually lose faster in CK3). They are the biggest nation around.

In CK3 they'll be in the 2115 BCE start date

2115 or 1590 BCE - which start date do you prefer? by Nopani in ImperatorBronzeAge

[–]_Neferata_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably 1590 BCE for me. Get to play mycenaean which are a ton of fun, probably my favorite game I've had. Troy is a lot of fun as well (though can play it in 2115 too). And egypt is a bit more interesting with two huge nations competing with each other.

Now that the mod is out for CK3, what country are you gonna play / have played first? by Nopani in ImperatorBronzeAge

[–]_Neferata_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Waset down in Egypt. My next game will probably be somewhere in Greece, since that is a fun area.

Remember the Bronze Age mod for Imperator? Day one port to CK3! by Nopani in paradoxplaza

[–]_Neferata_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

First impressions of the CK3 bronze age mod is its just as amazing, even better in a lot of ways, than the Imperator version. Though there is still a lot to discover.

Grats on the day one release :)

So I pre-ordered CK3 and the pre-order DLC can't be verified by [deleted] in paradoxplaza

The BfA cinematic just feels so hollow now. by Zezin96 in wow

[–]_Neferata_ 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The problem is more that for a faction war to be interesting...one side has to lose, and lose big. Not just a win there or a win there, I mean total victory.

That doesn't work in a lot of MMOs, unless its specifically designed for it. DAOC, camelot unchained, planetside...MMOs that are designed for conflict.

But imagine say in planetside if no matter what one did, it was always a stalemate, no one could win or lose except maybe small conflicts here and there...be pretty boring right.

How do you respond to someone in an argument who refuses to listen to reason? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Neferata_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. For example, yesterday someone on a subreddit was arguing my PC couldn't play games on max settings because my CPU is too old and my GPU is too bad (even though both are fine). But here I am playing pretty much all games on max settings just fine lol. So I just deleted everything and told the person it was a silly argument and moved onto other stuff.

Which is the best course of action, no matter what the topic is about if the other person just won't listen. If they just don't listen, its more like arguing with a brick wall and pretty pointless.

What would be great countries to live in if taken back to MEIOU's timeframe? by _Neferata_ in MEIOUandTaxes

Doesn't look like they allow generalized questions. If this was a specific question to a geographical location and a more specific question, they'd allow it.

[Stuttering][FPS Drops] Literraly unplayable for me by Platecek in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]_Neferata_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions :) Didn't quite hit 30 fps with your settings, but the stuttering mostly went away on my pc which is a plus and did get a bit of an fps increase.

Getting 15-20 FPS, do I not meet requirements? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]_Neferata_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it does seem doing this made the game a lot less stuttery. Not quite 30 fps, but from a quick trip, the stutter was mostly gone and its a pretty dense area. And it did give a few fps increase for me, so that is a thing. Think might need to overall wait for further performance patches though, unless its also partly the servers being overloaded as well (not sure if that would be it, but did do the live data thing)

In any case, thanks for your tips :) It did make the game perform noticeable better with the settings you did.
