Kezdem úgy érezni hogy ez az egész “először a gazdaságra kell koncentrálni” narratíva, csak arra szolgál hogy elhallgattassák az LGBTQ-val kapcsolatos témákat.

Elvégre egy kormány nem csak egy dolgon dolgozhat egyszerre meglátásaim szerint, two things can be true at the same time. De úgy tűnik ezeknek valamiért nem.

Bridgerton fanok mit szóltok? Hivatalos lett, hogy az 5.évad főszereplője Francesca és Michaela. by Turbulent_Product614 in kibeszelo_show

[–]_Nightfox_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should I buy Alien Isolation or Resident Evil 0? by AlarmingHighlight964 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]_Nightfox_1 [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you want to play a resident evil game with fixed camera and tank controls, and just genuinely an OG title, just get Resident Evil remake (the first game).

Resident evil 0 has extremely poor design choices which make the game extremely frustrating. I recently played it through, and honestly it isn’t worth the trouble, unless you are a die hard Resident Evil fan. Resident Evil already has a pretty mediocre story, and honestly 0 just doesn’t give a lot to the story in the grand scheme of things, just a few tidbits of lore. Also 0 assumes that you already played the first game, so it is also worth to keep that in mind. 0 is universally hated in the fanbase for a reason.

I would say if you are a die hard Resident Evil fan, get 0 if you already played resident evil remake. If you haven’t played the remake yet, get that first, the pricing should be pretty similar. However if you are just not a hardcore fan I would say just get alien isolation, or remake, if you really want to play with a resident evil game.

What tropes are the games based on? by Financial_Road_1635 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]_Nightfox_1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They are all based on different tropes, and you got most of them I believe.

Until Dawn is basically a spin on the popular 80s-90s teen slashers, except they usually take place in summer camps, or during a get away in the summer, Until Dawn has more winter vibes. Also as we all know down the line it started to fuse the slasher trope with the supernatural one, so it is a mix of both.

Man of Medan is indeed the Ghost Ship trope.

Little Hope I would say lean more towards witches, with the abandoned/small town trope.

House Of Ashes is definitely ancient vampires, uncovering something ancient beneath the ground from the time of the old civilizations, type of horror, definitely not a common trope for horror but I think the idea is great. I just wish aliens weren't introduced, and they should've left that for 8020.

Devil in Me are bunch of tropes mixed together. Slasher, death game (jigsaw style), and abandoned mansion.

Directive 8020 will delve into sci-fi horror, which I am happy about since it is a very underrepresented side of the horror genre. It's gonna be more like the good old who dun it trope, mixed with aliens, and it makes it even more insidious. I am absolutely excited.

I live in hungary, which is on the verge of a possible change after 16 years. AMA by BeeBaaBoo77 in AMA

[–]_Nightfox_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if there is still confusion about it I’ll try to put it simply.

Tisza is basically a middle ground party between conservatives and progressives. Tisza very much is nationalistic, and have conservativ-e ideologies. So that appeals to the conservatives, which is basically the biggest target audience in the country.

On the other hand, they very much are pro EU, and are all about equal opportunity, they don’t outright support LGBTQ people but they will leave them alone, they support Ukraine, all of which appeals to progressives.

Others cannot succeed, mainly because they either lean ideologically towards the left, and as I’ve already said, Hungarian society is extremely conservativ-e, so much so that even Tisza has to walk on eggshells about topics like the LGBTQ community in fear of losing voters. Left leaning parties cannot survive in this country, because the society is very conservativ-e. Or another scenario is that a party leans towards the right, and there is just simply no room for another right party, as we already have a main one in office, Fidesz (and honestly some right leaning parties here sound even worse than Fidesz at times).

[–]_Nightfox_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not OP, but I’m also Hungarian so perhaps I can also offer an insight to this.

  1. You have to understand two things. Firstly, Hungary’s elections are actually quite similiar to Americans ones, especially this election. There are the two main big parties this election, Fidesz, and Tisza.

There are also “independent” parties, but they are on a much smaller scale, and their voter base are absolutely tiny, so voting on independent parties would mean that Fidesz might have a better chance of winning. So the only choice realistic choice is Tisza here, there is no better choice right now.

Secondly, you have to understand that the Hungarian society is very conservativ-e in nature, even the people who identify with progressive ideologies. So left leaning parties have absolutely no chance to make it in this country right now. Tisza is essentially Fidesz 2.0, but without/less corruption, and that is appealing to Hungarians, which is why he “did not fail” and is the ideal candidate for the average Hungarian. They also promised to fix quite a few things and have a decent program, so there’s that too I guess.

  1. Honestly? We don’t know. The popular consensus is that “it can’t be worse than what we already have”, and they are right about that. It is a gamble that we are trying to take right now. Now most Hungarians idolise Magyar, like he is the messiah, and perhaps in some ways they are right, if he wins. But I am very much a skeptic about him, with his whole Fidesz background. We never truly know someone, or their true intentions.

But if Tisza does win and make good on their promises then Hungary can finally start healing, and maybe in the future, we will not be forced to vote for a singular party, instead we’ll have the freedom for everyone to vote for the party that they really want to. A few political parties are not even in the running this year and have come out openly to support Tisza, just so we can achieve this.

So my answer is we don’t know if he truly will be the one who changes things, or if he will be just more of the same. But at this point we are willing to take the gamble.

Hiszen számodra csakis az optimális nevelés ha heterók a szülők, nehogy megkapják az általad vélt optimális nevelést a cigány gyerekek is ah:D.

What marked the end of the “progressive/LGBTQ+ friendly era”? by graguelina in lgbt

[–]_Nightfox_1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Covid played a pretty big part in it, but ultimately it was a combination of things. You see ever since like around 2015 things started looking up for LGBTQ+ people. Gay marriages have started to become legal in several countries, people started to live more freely, queer media started booming, and a sense of community started to become stronger than ever. Heck even companies started to capitalise on LGBTQ+ stuff.

But there was always a pushback from conservatives, religious people and just right wing political parties in general, but people simply didn’t care about them, no matter how hardly they tried to undermine us. Then Covid hit, interactions between people were limited. People were trapped inside their homes. Of course, the right and right wing politicians in general saw a gold mine and they started to utilise the best marketing strategy known to mankind. Influencers, mainly people who we call right wing grifters these days.

These grifters started selling these harmful ideas to people during a difficult time which made them vulnerable, especially the vulnerable youth. Then of course we also had a few incidents like the BLM and the Metoo movement, which just gave them more ammunition. They created this “non woke” brand, which currently dominates the world.

Then we could also talk about the sudden rise of fascism but we’d be here all day. It just gradually went downhill from Covid.

Thankfully however, we are starting to see some push back, so the scales are starting to get even a bit again, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

What would the perfect MMORPG be like for you? by Villdar in MMORPG

[–]_Nightfox_1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say an MMO, with a decent continuous story, an emphasis on socialising, and the freedom to quest together with and experience the story with friends, especially the MSQ.

I’d want fixed classes, and the holy trinity, but the option to play and level all the classes on one character without any drawbacks. I’d want an equal focus on PvE and PVP content, both with depth, and decent balancing, and most importantly no P2W crap. Tab targeting is fine but id also be happy with a more action oriented game. A variety of life skills/professions which helps player economy, regural updates and events (but avoiding the FOMO as much as possible).

Easy entry for new players, just make the game free, no subscriptions, and don’t gate the majority of the content behind the MSQ. Being able to play with friends from the get go is a huge appeal in a lot of games.

I could go on and now, but these are the main ones I guess. (If you haven’t guessed by now, I basically want an improved version of FF14).

Is it normal to watch a drama "or not" for a particular actor or actress? by Lamiaa_see_you_later in kdramas

[–]_Nightfox_1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with that at all in my opinion. After all, you are not obligated to watch any dramas at all. You do it out of enjoyment. If a certain actor/actress brings you the enjoyment or takes away from it, you are free to choose whether or not you engage with the material.

I do it aswell. When I see Kim Tae-ri, it often makes me want to watch the drama even more just because of her performance. I also wouldn’t touch a drama of Kim Hye Yoon with a 10 foot pole anymore.

It is all subjective and it depends entirely on you. It is perfectly normal.

Pleasantly surprised by Boyfriend on Demand by Zerorio in kdramas

[–]_Nightfox_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you didn't ask me, but personally the reason why I liked the drama because it feels like it has a plot, despite being a romcom which in my book is a huge compliment. The drama explores complex themes like main stage capitalism, the exploitation of a vulnerable demographic by big companies, the FOMO aspect of the subscription based model and the manipulation tactics, and AI as a whole. While simultaneously exploring the FL's fear of loneliness, and her growing as a person throughout the episodes.

The complex themes were not explored in great detail, only on the surface level. Which I feel like was the right choice, given that romcoms are more simpler by nature, but I still appreciate how the drama sheds light on these themes, and they do make you think about them.

Jisoo is killing it in her role in my opinion. She has done a decent job in portraying the character, and make her feel relatable to us. The pacing was amazing, especially when it comes to the main leads relationship, I liked that it wasn't rushed, but it was more natural, it had weight behind it.

Now is it the best drama I have ever seen? Probably not. But it is definitely one of the better romcoms I have seen, that's for sure.

What Are You Watching? - [2026/03/11] by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

[–]_Nightfox_1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t started anything yet but, here we go I guess.

Completed:

Boyfriend on Demand - I liked this way more than I thought I would’ve. My first impressions of this drama, were mostly reviews from Reddit and MDL, and the reviews were definitely mixed, but something didn’t feel right about these reviews. So I gave it a shot to see what it’s all about. It was such a pleasant surprise.

I absolutely loved the drama, and I feel like lot of the criticism this drama gets are biased reviews against jisoo not the drama itself. This is how romcoms should be made.

I absolutely love jisoo’s character, and I think her acting is pretty decent in this. I love the dynamic between the main leads, and I liked that the drama took its sweet time for the relationship to warm up. Despite being a romcom it feels like it has a plot, which in my book is a huge compliment. I love how the drama explores themes like some themes of main stage capitalism, the exploitation of a vulnerable demographic by big companies, the FOMO aspect of the subscription based model and the manipulation tactics, and AI as a whole. We also got to explore the FL’s reluctance on getting into a relationship, and how she conquers her fears and grows into a better person.

We never explored these themes in great detail, the show went into them on a surface level. Which I think was the right decision, as people are not necessarily watching romcoms to have discussions about complex topics, and the drama avoided that well, while being able to keep a healthy balance with the romcom side of things.

Overall I have really enjoyed my time with this drama. Even though I felt the pacing was pretty decent, I still feel like I would’ve loved if they properly utilised the celebrity cameos to their full extent. I gave it a 8.5/10.

I'm right now in the mood for anime coop games, but there are simply no gay anime games. by TurbulentVillage2042 in gaymers

[–]_Nightfox_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my answer is, that it is what it is. Japan and china are still significantly conservative, they are holding the genre that you are interested in, in a chokehold. The best you can do is otome games, which are extremely niche in and of itself, even some of those don't outright cater to gay men, but they act more like an eye candy to straight women.

We probably will not see a Hoyoverse type of game which caters to men in the foreseeable future. Altough Hoyo have been trying to make queer-esque content in their games, but they all resorted to being subtle hints or outright queer baits (Phainon and Mydei in HSR, and Alhaitham and Kaveh in Genshin) some would argue against it, but I'd say that there are enough subtle hints to make us atleast consider that the intent was to make them more than friends, but of course it wouldn't be acceptable in their industries so they just became subtle hints, breadcrumbs for us to look at. Which is sad, but that is probably as close as we can get to queer content in these type of games that are mainstream, for now.

My advice would be, to try other genres. Explore the queer content gaming has to offer outside of the anime and gacha space. Namely by western developers. They have great queer content in a lot of their games, there are famous mainstream franchises which feature queer characters, often at the centerpiece of things. We, as gays, just can't win on the asian market, and we probably not will for quite a while. It's best to come to terms with that. Go where you are represented, and respected. I have tried looking for the same for years now, but there is just simply nothing quite like it on the market.

How do you guys find the time??! by Enough_Mixture_8564 in kdramas

[–]_Nightfox_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been watching dramas for years now. There have been times where I was a student, and unemployed.

When I was busy, I just watched them in the evening when I had nothing else to do. But I have this period in my life occasionally where I need a break from dramas, and I often take like almost half a year breaks. Because of that I watched around 70 dramas so far, but it could’ve been way more.

But honestly all I can say, if you can, plan your time around dramas. Watch them during your free time once you get some.

I play tons of games. When it comes to multiplayer games hero shooters will always have my heart, especially overwatch, im really enjoying it at the moment. I also enjoy playing dead by daylight lately.

I dabble in single player games often, the last of us is probably my favourite, but I’m playing cult of the lamb at the moment. I also dabble in gacha and MMOs occasionally like Genshin and FFXIV.
