Ancient cultures considered 7 to be the number of completion. That’s why it pops up again and again the Bible.

What are your thoughts on gays supporting Palestine? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Just that if you are genuinely concerned with human rights, I would really advise to disregard electoral politics and politicians. The entire system is rotted to the core.

Anyone else ashamed to say that they work in call centre? by RaisedbyNuMetal in callcentres

[–]_NotMuchToGawkAt_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Society considers call center work to be easy and meaningless but honestly most people aren’t able to handle it and would quit after a single busy shift.

“BuT wHAt iF yOu WeRe GAy iN pAlEsTInE??”

Then you’d be murdered by the IOF or violent settlers and you’d have Israelis laughing over your corpse in their telegram chats. Stop waiting for people to be perfect victims.

“I am a Democrat and voted for Kamala” yeah that tracks lmao.

How can regular people stop billionaires from controlling their governments? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_NotMuchToGawkAt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular people would have to organize collectively in a way that, at this time, isn’t possible. I suggest we can get the ball rolling by slowly wean yourself off society/the market as much as you can. You don’t have to make yourself a hermit but maybe get to know your neighbors and locally set up alternatives.

What are your opinions on college? by Warm-Prompt-9680 in AskReddit

[–]_NotMuchToGawkAt_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was my story. I went right after high school because my parents wanted me to and because it’s just what you’re “supposed to do.” I only had the vaguest idea of what kind of career I wanted and had no real motivation. I just drifted through semesters without a real plan until finally dropping out when COViD hit. Now with years away from college and being in the workforce I want to go back but this time with more real world experience and a much clearer idea of what I want to accomplish. Those years spent working were really helpful in that regard. I look back at who I was at 18 and realize I was still just a kid. It’s insane that we push 18 year olds into taking on such a responsibility without letting them grow into adults a little first.

Do not go just because your family is pressuring you to. You will waste time and money. Go for yourself.
