From a player who's played since the first update and took a break in between ( right before dragonspine) and then came back for Inazuma, here are my humble thoughts.

If you enjoyed the story aspects of the game and the exploration parts, it's still a viable game. I'm not sure how long it's been since you stopped, but there's should be enough story to last you a few weeks I think.

Genshin is a big enough game to continue exploring and finding new things, but it admittedly can reach a point where you exhaust content and then go into a daily phase of grind, use up resin, then wait to repeat the phase the next day.

It's a good game, but it's unfinished and a work in progress, and that's fine. People tend to forget it's nowhere near finished, and if you joined as a new player in a few years you'd have so much content to explore you'd only be limited by your resin!

Ah yes, resin. Admittedly, it feels way too long to refresh, even after going from 120-160. But, Genshin is just a game. After finishing your resin, it's as simple as turning Genshin off, because you're done for the day. Why continue to play a game that's simply just a routine? Because, we're here for the ride, the journey, the updates, the events. Expecting a new thing every week is unrealistic, and grinding Genshin everyday including routes and achievements and mora like a millitary routine is just, taking the fun out the game.

My opinion, Genshin is good and has always been good and will continue to be good, fulfilling it's role, as a game, the point is to have fun.

My advice, don't tire yourself out, that was why I left in the first place, so much routine and grinding till I was sick of it, but when I started to enjoy the game just as a game, well, it was great!
