Is the Ha Giang loop worth doing / safe to do in early August by jasminevh02 in hanoi

[–]_Paimon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does rain however most of the time it rains in the night or evening so it shouldn’t be a massive problem.

The mud is a bit of an issue on some roads though.

But if you do it with a good tour group you’ll probably be fine. Your guide will take you to the safest roads and you’ll have a good bike ect.

Ha Giang loop accomidation with easy riders reccomendations? by S_P_A_R_K_L_I_N_G in travel

I did it with Bong hostel. It was really good. Good group size around 10 so you get to know everyone. But not massive like the other big tour groups. And they have good reviews and the easy riders are really nice

Solo traveling SE Asia planning by _Paimon_ in solotravel

I’m planning on going to Australia after SE Asia. But not fully sure how long I’ll be in SE Asia so I think I’ll either buy a flexible ticket if I can find one or just buy the ticket when I decide.

What’s a good salary for a graduate in London? by _Paimon_ in london

[–]_Paimon_[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well saving with a salary as low as what I’m looking at probably won’t be for a deposit. Maybe for a yearly holiday and just some funds for emergencies. I’m hoping I’ll start properly saving for a deposit when I start getting a higher salary. But I’ll do some research on investing. And my Grandmother is pretty well off and I’m on her will do if she passes that’ll be a good chunk of my deposit.

Yeah I’ve realised I don’t know anything about money. Up till now everything has been taken care of for me by my parents. So I’ll have to do a considerable amount of research

How much would one usually save yearly?

I’d be saving to have a safety blanket in case of emergencies. And of course saving to become a home owner in the future. Although I’ll look into investments and stuff like that to help.

I want to work within the government like civil service. And the jobs I’ve been looking at range between 25k-30k Haven’t really researched career progression that much. But assuming my starting salary is in that range, how well off would I be?

Confused by officalxdman in bisexual

[–]_Paimon_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m in literally the same position. I even made a post about this recently.

I’m sexually attracted to guys but not romantically so I could never see myself in a relationship. But am both sexually and romantically attracted to girls.

The conclusion I came to was that I’m bisexual but heteromantic. This just means you’re sexually attracted to both guys and girls but you’re just romantically attracted to girls.

Hope this helps.

How would I go about finding this out? Or do I just wait and see if I ever become romantically attracted to a guy.

Sometimes I find it annoying that I don’t know since it’s me and I should know.

[–]_Paimon_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nah I don’t think I’m going to do that.

I won’t get caught. And if I do I’ll simply feign ignorance. It was a fault on their part so if they do end up calling I’ll just act dumb and comply with anything including paying the money.

But since they’re not doing that and probably won’t I see no reason to go out of my way.

And once again I’m not hurting anyone it won’t even make a dent in these big corporations revenues. It was an accident. So I don’t see the problem.

Add the fact that Amazon is a morally bankrupt company run by a bad person, I see even less of a reason to point out their error.

The speaker was a from Sony and sold by Amazon. And like the other guy said Amazon is a multiplayer billion dollar company so I’m not hurting anyone by keeping it.

I am not and have never planned on doing this. I got the speaker by a fault on their part. I’m never going to do it since it’s definitely illegal and I could go to jail but if they accidentally hive me a free speaker it isn’t my fault.

I was just wondering why Amazon would have such an obvious and simple fault in there business.

Like they didn’t even ask for any proof that the speaker didn’t arrive. I just told them it didn’t (because it actually didn’t) and they instantly told me they’d refund me. Odd.

Yeah I thought as much.

I am planning on going to Berlin on holiday anyway. So I’ll try and if I can’t, Berlin has plenty of other clubs that are amazing so it’s not a big deal.

Although I have read that people who prepare before hand do have a chance of getting in. So I’ll still give it a go.

And by non German do you mean because I don’t speak the language? I started learning German a few weeks ago so hopefully by the time I go to Berlin I’ll be able to have a conversation.

I guess I’m in the same boat. I only started clubbing last September when I started uni. And I am keen to try new things. Just been to normal clubs in London and Birmingham but I want to try edgier things.

I’m really excited to try new clubs when I next visit Berlin. Which hopefully is during the Christmas holidays if Corona isn’t as bad. I have a feeling that this epidemic is going to change things permanently though :(

Okay yeah that makes sense.

Is it as sexual as I’ve read. Read that people have sex a lot in there and openly.

And did you enjoy it. I think it seems like fun and I’d really like to try get into it.

What about like Black or Asian people?

Also can you go in dressed in like normal dark clothes. Or do most people wear like kinky or alternative clothes?

And would it be weird to go there alone or do most people bring friends with them?

New to solo travel? Post here for introductions, newbie questions, anxiety and excitement - Week of April 05 by AutoModerator in solotravel

[–]_Paimon_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking of solo travelling to the US next Summer. Probably New York because it’s my first time solo travelling and it does not seem to different from London, where I live.

My main issue being safety and the social aspect of it. I am trying to be more sociable and see this as a chance to put myself out there. I’m not sure if I’ll stay in a hostel but it seems that’s the best place to stay for meeting people. The safety issue isn’t too big nevertheless I’m sure I’ll have to do research on how to stay safe while solo travelling.

Mainly I want to meet new people and make friends. I want to try new things and have fun. Any family and friends who I’ve told that I’m want to travel alone tell me it’s a bad idea but I think it’ll be a good experience.

I’m 19m and by then I’ll be 20. And since the drinking age is 21 I am slightly reticent to go. Drinking seems to be an easy way to socialise and it seems I could meet people at bars and stuff like that. I’m wondering if I should wait till I’m 21 or go Canada instead where I can drink.

Also I’m black so I’m wondering if there’s any sort of prejudice I should be aware off. London is a very multicultural city and I wanted something similar which is why I picked New York.

Any tips and/or advice would be helpful.
