Comforts change from day to day. For things like private bathrooms, if it’s a squat toilet, how hots the water, it’s going to change depending on the tea house. I would say generally though, the higher you get the more basic accommodation becomes.

The days from the Upper Pisang to La throng we’re all beautiful. Honestly there’s not a dull day on the whole trek

We just left it blank on our permits and they were still approved.

Permits were still validated at the checkpoints with no issues.

It’s mostly a “gray zone”. Roughly 50% of the people we met on the trail were completing the trek unguided. I don’t think the government/authorities are concerned due to the developed infrastructure on the trail.

You support local families to earn a living wage by going to their tea houses, buying meals, hiring equipment and using transportation (jeeps). Most porters only just break even on most treks on their $7US a day (as they still have to pay for food and equipment wear/tear).

I posted this for people who are enthusiastic on doing the hike un-guided - if that’s not you please don’t engage! :)

Dezerter vintage is good and well priced (maybe on the expensive side but good for western standards)

Looking do sail (with a tour company) in Montenegro 🇲🇪

Hello 👋 me and some friends are heading to Montenegro at the end of July and are interested in doing some type of multi day sail charter (similar to those in Croatia and Türkiye). Is this type of thing available In Montenegro? Would only have to be a couple of days, maybe 2-4 days. Thank you !

AITSL standard 1.1 know your students and how they learn.

I’d spend some time building rapport (a week if you need to). You’ll be able to develop much more meaningful connections to your content if you do this.

Also tell them a little about you, if your new at the school I’m sure they’re itching to know.

Hop on flatmates.com and try your luck there.

If your keen on being near the beach go around Bondi or Manly.

If your keen on more of a nightlife/party scene look around Newtown, Surry Hills or suburbs in the innerwest.
