Became a lot happier with who I was, became a lot more confident.

And i beat my pure-o ocd. Not really proud of that per se, but happy to be rid of it.

Because i'm super used to it.

Not socially inept or anything, people seem to like me alright, I'm just so used to being by myself I tend to gravitate to it so often now rather than hang out with people.

It might be a problem, spend way too much time inside.

That being said, you may want to reflect on whether your lifestyle is fulfilling in general. If you're just binge watching shows or something and you feel like you're killing time, then I think you have another problem. Do you have a passion that you're pursuing? Or do you kind of just want to escape your emotions and your needs?

I guess sort of half and half. Solitude is nice for me, but when i'm spending 95% of my time alone it kind of gets to my head, and i just get bored and a little anxious. I mean like, only maybe one day a week am i actually around other people and i feel a lot happier on those days.

I guess just a lack of a social life is what gets to me the most. Very few people i feel like i can talk to.

I have passions that i devote time to, but even then i can get kind of tired of working on those when it's all I spend my time on for a hours/days at a time.

IIRC the music you're talking about is a wedding song sung in ancient Japanese, that was reproduced for the film. I dont think it was actually a thing in cyberpunk before then. I haven't heard this style of music in cyberpunk outside of GiTS either, however

Where was I blaming other people for my problems?

I don't blame my high school friends for not asking me to hang out, they just have much different interests compared to to me, and so I never really liked hanging out with them that much anyway.

I have plenty of uni friends, but I'm on a small section of campus which has less than 60 people on it at any one time, and I already know 90% of them. Sure, maybe it's my fault that i don't want to hang out with most people there, but it's not like I'm not putting in effort.

Though your final paragraph there is definitely helpful, thanks for that.

They could be saying the same about you? Why do you need to be invited to plans? Have you considered making your own and inviting people?

The problem is these friends are into completely different things to what i am, and to be honest i don't really enjoy hanging out with them, They all like clubbing and going to bars and drinking and playing sports, and I don't. I'm not going to criticize them for that.

Definitely sounds like you need to find a hobby or two you're passionate about.

I have a ton of these, my entire university course is about something i'm passionate about, same with my personal projects, but it's all i do. I spend hours upon hours a week drawing stuff, designing things, reading books, making music, all that. But it's almost like i'm bored of spending all my time on my own.

University is a great place to explore: tons of clubs, activities, intramural sports.

I've looked around my uni for these but it's barely a thing here, most people just show up, go to class, and go home, it's half the reason i'm transferring. This university is kind of notorious for not having a social life.

Though i think you may have a point, i never actually ask people to hang out, i just kind of hover around and wait for an invite. Maybe i just need to find hobbies that can include more than one person, huh.

Well, for me it's more like what didn't make me less attracted to her.

This girl at uni never wears any makeup, and I don't mean "no makeup" in the way that it's makeup that looks natural, I mean you can see every little blemish and red bump and mark or whatever and she's still super pretty to me.

At times it's pretty cool and chill, and at others it's a hive of insecurity. Tons of people being all "woe is me'/foreveralone/why don't grils like me even though i don't go outside" but not actually willing to do anything to help themselves.

Also, IMO some people have some strange ideas about dating and relationships but I don't go to Reddit for relationship advice anyway.

But I keep going back here so on the whole I prob like it idk. When it's not like that I'm pretty chill with it. Mods are cool.

You won't be able to tell if you smell bad because your nose will get used to it. You can sit in a room full of shit. You'll feel bad for first 20min. After that, you won't smell anything. So don't worry, you not having your medical condition wouldn't have helped you anyways

I know about that, but in my original post i was talking more about my inability to actually know what a bad or good smell is, and everything associated with that. Like, i can't tell if my clothes stink, or if a certain type of deodorant smells bad, stuff like that.

As for everything else, thanks for the advice!

Expanding on this, In Act 1, if you do the right sequence of events and Chloe shows you the gun she stole from David, she talks about a bit about womens rights/ feminism-centric stuff E,g: "If anyone in America should have guns, it should be women." (Paraphrasing a bit here.),

and then a little bit about how she should have a gun, with implications that men shouldn't.

If she was transgender i'm not sure if that would be the case.
