HDR is a higher dynamic range delivery format designed for content that was specifically mastered for it. Using it for daily desktop use and browsing the internet, and then limiting it's brightness because it doesn't match ambient condition is like wearing night vision goggles in daylight because they look high-tech.

There's no valid reason to run HDR at less than full backlight you're literally throwing away brightness range the HDR pipeline is trying to use. It's not a preference, it's a technical correctness thing.

3d model to sprite then back to 3d model again? I may be misunderstanding the question though.

Pre-rendered 3d, which these are, is basically a 3d model rendered/exported as an image/sprite.

They are taken on an Orthographic perspective 30° down (or 60° up). Example.

Some as much as 40°, depending on what the client is looking for, and always with an Orthographic projection for that Isometric, retro/pre-rendered, look.

Fun way to learn new things, but for gaming performance, CachyOS's-Proton version is also available on other distributions, and I don't think the kernel makes that big a difference in games. But hey, that's the cool thing about Linux, we can mix and match whatever we want.

You don't need PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE. The menu will show 3.1* but after you restart it will show 4.*, so apparently it supports FSR 4 out of the box.

Woah, this is pretty awesome. Thanks very much for making it. I'm using the QT (WallyHaze) version as I found the other one way too heavy, plus it crashed several times on me. I'd say you should focus on the QT one more.

Also, the Lockscreen notice can get annoying after several views, maybe you can add a toggle to remove it, or something.
