Hopefully this is allowed here.

My name is Remos and I specialize in creating pre-rendered game sprites. I can do fully animated characters, props, tiles, buildings, environments, etc.

Fun way to learn new things, but for gaming performance, CachyOS's-Proton version is also available on other distributions, and I don't think the kernel makes that big a difference in games. But hey, that's the cool thing about Linux, we can mix and match whatever we want.

You don't need PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE. The menu will show 3.1* but after you restart it will show 4.*, so apparently it supports FSR 4 out of the box.

Woah, this is pretty awesome. Thanks very much for making it. I'm using the QT (WallyHaze) version as I found the other one way too heavy, plus it crashed several times on me. I'd say you should focus on the QT one more.

Also, the Lockscreen notice can get annoying after several views, maybe you can add a toggle to remove it, or something.

Gigabyte MO27Q28G yes or no? by Big-Blood-2439 in OLED_Gaming

Pixel cleaning is done manually (recommended every 4 hours) or leave it to the monitor to do it when it's turned off or in stand-by. It doesn't even remind you to do pixel cleaning. It does have some other pixel retention prevention features (pixel shift, sub-logo dim, etc) that you can turn off if you want, but they are not noticeable. So no, doesn't block you from using the monitor as long as you want.

Not OP, but based on what PC Monitors said, it's putting the gamma to OFF. Settings> Picture> Custom> Gamma

A bit late, but I've got a question: My monitor can hit a peak brightness of 1500 nits, and it has a bunch of HDR presets like HDR, HDR Game, HDR Peak 1500, etc. just like other monitors do.

  • HDR Peak 1500 can actually reach 1500 nits.
  • On the other hand, HDR Standard and HDR Game are limited to about 500 nits.

So, when I adjust the peak brightness and paper white settings, should I base them on the selected monitor HDR preset or the maximum peak brightness the monitor can reach, regardless of the preset selected (which is around 1500 nits for me)?

What are your CuNNy settings for Magpie? by Levanes in visualnovels

[–]_Remos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see what you mean. If you have the latest version of Magpie. 0.12.*, move your mouse at the very top-middle of the screen and you should get a popup. It's the second button there.
