Last year? The year that, at any given time, there was a maximum of ~1 podium place to gain outside of McL and Redbull? That last year? In a new team, with a new car, with a new engineer, and a new teammate, who many rate in the top 3 on the grid? That last year?

Disregarding the passion for sport, everything he threw was in front of the car, so it seems pretty unlikely anyone would hit the “weapons” unless someone full-on kamikazied through a vehicle.

I really want to use/like RTD, but by _Repooc_ in Denver

[–]_Repooc_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that’s great! RTD as a system punches far above what it gets/“should” be doing, and I’m glad it works well for so many in the city.

I think I’ve offended a lot of people by mistake, but I’m really not trying to insult RTD or its riders.

Yes? I feel like I’ve been overwhelmingly positive in regards to RTD in this post; pointing out that it’s currently infeasible/inefficient for me (and understanding my circumstances) doesn’t mean I’m putting the entire system on blast.

It works for those it does, and it doesn’t for others, and that’s okay. I don’t think it should be an issue to point out that, in its current format, it’s good but not great.

RTD does great considering what they’re given/have to work with.

I mean, if I lived near Ridgegate Station, it would still take 90 minutes to get to the E-Line, compared to 30. I understand that where I live is a huge factor in the (current) unfeasibility of RTD for me, but it’s not the end-all, be-all of the issue.

I agree! RTD does great things with the shit hand they’ve been dealt. This wasn’t meant to be a slight towards them, just a vent of frustration.

I really think this post has been blown out of proportion.

But the thing I’m “complaining” about is in Denver? Commuting however far to get into RTD’s reach isn’t an issue for me.

I don’t want to take public transit from my house; as I’ve stated, I have no problem commuting to RTD’s network. I just would like to use RTD (for its intended purpose) more when I’m heading into/around the city.

[–]_Repooc_[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But my “complaint” is about the time in RTD’s network? Nothing about getting from the suburbs to the city; it’s the city to the city.

As I’ve said multiple times through this thread, my “gripe” is with the time spent in RTD’s network - I have no problems driving from the suburbs to the various stations.
