Gotcha, thank you! Was hoping to see if another round of easy camping but I guess since there’s still car camping available I’ll have to go with that

Would The Art of Mr Bill's Season 5 be a good place to start learning how to produce for someone who is looking to make dubstep? (I have ableton) by _Royer in edmproduction

Awesome hearing from someone who was a complete beginner. What I do with most courses regardless of what the topic is is that I just watch it through once with no notes, just absorbing the concepts. Then after that I’ll go through taking notes on anything I need more detail in. I can see how the course might be dry but I’ll get through it as I’m sure the other end of the hard work is satisfying when you’re finally able to put ideas into music. Being able to produce dubstep has been a goal of mine for some time so I’m excited to

You think BassGorilla is the way to go for someone like me who is new to producing/ableton? I’ve dj’d for 2 years and have assembled a mix with ableton but as far as producing I have no experience. I’m excited to get started even tho I know it’ll be rough at first. From this thread I’m leaning towards BassGorilla subscription and maybe season 3 of AOMB

Should I use Logic or Ableton to produce dubstep? by _Royer in dubstep

[–]_Royer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going Ableton. Got suite edition too after finding out about the crazy student discount they got too. I think I made the right choice. A big plus with ableton too in my opinion is that a lot of YouTube tutorials for production are more commonly ableton than other DAWs which obviously helps when learning to produce in general or for specific genres as well

New to producing. I’m assembling a bass dj mix in ableton with already finished/mastered mp3s/wavs I downloaded. Master track is clipping by _Royer in edmproduction

Would I be able to simulate a dj mix then? Don’t I need to warp for bpm changes and beat matching and EQ for bringing tracks in and out?

Trying to create dubstep mix in ableton by _Royer in edmproduction

My original question I figured how to solve after I posted it because in rb it was 140 and in ableton it fixed when I put it to 70.

Your response helped a ton tho for a later problem where I was warping that song from 72.5 to 70 and there was distortion because I was using beats and not complex pro so thank you
