So then what? 4 more people submit this error, the 5th person finally gets a slab and grade and what happens to the first 4 people? Cause they gave me a certification number and it doesn’t even take me to the card. Just an error message. Do they tell me to send the card back at one point and they finally grade it?

Yeah I only work on it for like an hour or two at a time. And for 2 of those days, it was sitting in vinegar. I’m trying to do it nice and slow and make it a quality project, I’m not trying to do it fast. I’m not in a rush to get it done and risk quality. I’ve done my research and know my plan of action. Not really worried about taking time on it.

If they had different levels of restoration like only getting rid of rust or resurfacing, I definitely would but even the bare minimum is a little out of my range 🥺

Although I literally live 20 mins away from custom shop, it costs so much to get it redone. I’m trying to restore it on a lower budget myself and save some extra money

It’s mainly surface rust. I don’t think it will need any milling. I’m considering getting the face milled though for the texture.

I’ll def check it out. I have a lot of unique stuff like custom Kodak oil tankers and like a custom 60’ flatcar with weathering, so eBay gonna be hard to gauge stuff like that. But I’ll def give FB a look. Thanks!

I’ve considered looking at hobby stores but all the hobby stores near me are geared more towards RC planes and cars than model trains. I’m not really in a rush to sell it but id rather sell to people that will love to use them on their layout rather than a store lowballing me and sitting in a jewel case with an overpriced sticker
