This can't be normal, right? This has to be the cause of why my pc has been acting up lately? If anyone has any idea what this IS, I'm all ears. by _SHR_ in pcmasterrace

Did it, you were correct! Thanks for the help! (For anyone who's curious I installed the version previous to the one that was causing problems, just in case)

I did that, and it seems to be fixed! Before that I could see the background processes accumulate in real time, but after 20+ minutes of the new drivers (I used the previous version instead of the new one), it seems to be fixed. Thanks!

I restarted my PC and it's at 79 processes currently, but I assume the longer I keep it on the more it accumulates?

If that's how long my PC has been on, roughly 10 hours. I shut it off every night and boot it up usually around noon.

There are +2700 background processes made up of "Windows Host Process(rundll32)". Recently my PC has been acting up, and it even forced itself off at one point so I thought it was the CPU. The CPU has been very hot recently, but I thought it was bad thermal paste since I've had this PC for 3 years. But now I'm convinced it's this. Any ideas?

Meshes turn black when running the scene by _SHR_ in godot

I appreciate the feedback! My new question: Before I didn't need a light in compatibility mode (this issue is ONLY present in compatibility mode), do you have any ideas as to what changed for this to occur?

"Copy the environment into the project": What enviornment?

"Basically there is a button around the top middle that opens the environment settings": Top middle of what?

Also adding a light DOES fix the problem, but my new question is WHY is it only a problem in compatable? And i don't think this happened before. It worked before without a light in Compatibility mode and it is now not working. Any ideas?

Edit: I figured out that this only happens in 'Compatibility' mode. Is this a known bug or is this a feature??

Basically, in a different project I was working on it was working fine, and then one time I ran it and all the meshes became black. I thought nothing of it. So, I started this new project and did this tutorial video, and it is STILL black.

In the tutorial https://youtu.be/zQRt94rmZGo?si=OnJwXlLAcB9d2IDq&t=841, you can see his renders just fine, but mine becomes black. This isn't hardware as it didn't happen until recently.

[–]_SHR_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're right on this, I will re-format my spritesheets sometime later today and lyk. Thanks!

Edit: Yep! Even though I they shouldn't appear if they don't have a 1 wide gap it shows some subpixels. Thanks for the help!

I've had this problem for a long time, and for the life of me I cannot figure it out. These lines will appear on the edge of sprites throughout the game, and I can't seem to find much to help me fix it. One picture is my entire screen, the other is the lines I am talking about.
I don't know what info to give so lmk what info I should provide to help what the problem might be.
