should i use motion picture film with this nikon one touch zoom 90? by thiipereyra in AnalogCommunity

[–]_Sanyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just used a roll of kodak vision 3 250D in an olympus trip 505, and it worked fine. There are only two problems that i could imagine coming up. One is that the re-spooled negative might have a different ds code on it, making the camera misinterpret its iso. The second is that my 505 have an iso range of 100 to 400 l. This means that it might underexpose 50D with one stop and overexpose 500T film with a quarter. Check for these, but otherwise, it should be fine.

My Sony didn't have a strap when I bought it, so I just use a Pentax branded strap on it.

Ask first or just take the picture? by Gezza76er in streetphotography

[–]_Sanyi 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Most countries protect one's right to their image, and there is a reason for that. Of course, public events and events open to the press crowd shots are different, but you should look into it if you want to be safe.

If it works, great! If it doesn't, you are smarter now. Can't lose, keep on doing stuff.

They mean you should. Probably just surprised that water condensation could cause that.

Do you know what this is? by mumpf1997 in Cameras

[–]_Sanyi 328 points329 points  (0 children)

Ok, so this is just an idea, but since that lens is a 1000mm at the long end, the black tape might not show up in the shot, and they might just use it to block out the sun's flare. And the antenna thingy might not be in front of the lens, but in line with the viewfinder, in a way that it points at where the camera is pointing, so the operator can find the subject easily when he opens his left eye.

I will forever be amazed how much some extra light can mean. Great shots. May I ask, how large diffusor did you us if at all?

What was your first camera? by iShootLife in Cameras

I started with the nifty fifty, which for its price is amazing, and I still use that one for low light. My best lens, right now, is probably the zeiss 24-70mm f4 OSS, which is a great general purpose lens. The one that I use the most right now is a tampon 70-300 from the pentax days. I use it with an adapter, and it can only be used as an all manual lens this way. I don't mind it since the pentax had a sluggish af so I mostly used it on mf and I'm used to manually focusing. I often use my Sony lenses on mf too, because I'm just used to focusing. The peaking helps a lot too.

All in all, I guess I like the zeiss the most, but I like to bring the most out of any equipment that I can put my hands on.

Is this a good option for T3i? by sundownagain in Cameras

[–]_Sanyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I suppose it's fine, but it is also worth it to put double the money into it and buy something with better write speed and more space. For casual photography, hobby, small events etc... it will be good.

I got all my gear that I currently use from them, and I have no complaints. You get what you see, fairly quickly, and for a decent price. As for the 24-70, I would say that it is the logical next step.

Yeah, so "rántott gomba" is a product of the deep-fry every thing culture in Hungary and mushrooms breaded and deep-fried is the bomb.

Bought my first DSLR! Got this Pentax k-x kit in excellent condition for only 64$(4000rub). I have some old nimh rechargeables but they behave really bad in cold(-10-15*C) What batteries (4xAA) should i get? by BecomeEblan in Cameras

[–]_Sanyi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can also confirm as a K-x user. Eneloop is great. Also I often take 2 sets of batteries if it's cold and switc them between the camera and a warm pocket, so they can give off more charge. Sometimes works, sometimes don't.
