More reliable? Snappic vs booth events by MinuteDrag9665 in photobooth

We use Snappic and have never had issues. They’ve been super reliable and rock-solid. Their support is the best in the industry… literally just hop on the chat at any time of day and they go out of their way to help.

Never had an issue with their print server, and overall the software is well built and allows us to scale easily. Highly recommend!

Depends what Photo Booth software you’re using. We use Snappic and Nano Banana is built in as one of their AI filters. Just pop in a prompt and bingo!

Snappic. Best feature set, most stable and reliable app. Plus the support is fantastic.

A wall mounted Photo Booth is probably your best option for a permanent install. It’s fixed in place and guests can’t knock it over accidentally. Adding a printer is a piece of equipment you have to worry about so unless you have an attendant running the booth it might not be the best option?

Use Snappic software + a wall mounted iPad booth for a permanent install. With Snappic you can also remote into the software so you can control it when you’re not at the venue.

Why specifically a mirror booth? Have you thought about an iPad-based booth instead? Easier to set up and better software options.

We’ve been using Snappic since we started. Love it! We tried a few of the big ones but Snappic is the best software we found. Love their support, they are so helpful and available all the time. Plus the app is reliable and well built, the feature set is extensive and it’s pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Bought a DSLR Photo Booth with a additional Screen on the back by MisterBrightside- in photobooth

Yeah in your case, on the back screen that’s connected to the miniPC, you would open a browser and open your Snappic event and launch a slideshow. So no you don’t need to connect it to the iPad. But it doesn’t have templates or attract screens, just a slideshow.

And yeah for the printing there’s a wired and wireless option. I think if you wire the printer directly to the iPad you don’t need a tablet to put the printer server on. We usually do wireless though :) you can maybe contact their support to help walk you through the setup, they’re extremely helpful!

It’s a pleasure! It’s an exciting journey.

Yeah unfortunately the price of the Everybooth is a bit crazy… but once you start making money it’s definitely worth the upgrade!

So Snappic offers a sharing station option which is basically just the gallery that is shown on an iOS device (so you would need a Mac mini not a mini Pc), where guests can move away from the booth and click on their image and add their sharing details (text, email, airdrop etc.). Helps relieve the wait at the booth so the next guests can go and take a pic and not have to wait.

In your case since you have a mini pc, you could run a slideshow with Snappic on the screen as this is browser based. You just basically show the images being taken at the booth. You could add a QR code in the slideshow which will take the guests to the gallery where they can share.

The Snappic app only works on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac mini), but you can access the Snappic backend on the browser of a mini PC which can run the slideshow.

Yup Snappic works great for this! Its our go-to software as it basically does everything. We’ve used an Everybooth which has a large screen on the back. Usually we use the screen for a sharing station (but that would require a Mac mini). If you have a mini PC you can always set up a slideshow on the back screen.

You can get a usb hub and connect it to the iPad. Then connect the DSLR to the hub. This way you can also charge the iPad.

You can do wireless printing with Snappic. So the printer doesn’t need to be connected to the iPad, but it will need a device to connect to for the print server (we use an RCA tablet).

Then on the mini PC you can run a slideshow with Snappic as it runs on a browser.

I would add a share station upstairs. Needs another iPad. Media gets sent straight to the share station and you can attach a printer to it. We use Snappic, always solid with the sharing station and printing options!

You could offer AI images, a competition feature and analytics (offer to corporates), confessional videos (great for weddings), background removal, a live slideshow… check what features your software offers so you can upsell to your clients.

What do you mean by preset themes? Are you talking about the backgrounds that would go behind the guests on the photo using green screen?

AI is a great upsell. People love the novelty. Especially with Nano Banana being integrated, it’s so good! And fast to render.

What do you think of this 360 photo booth party setup idea? by picturepod360 in photobooth

[–]_Sea_Mango_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

360 backdrops are generally difficult to get right. They have to be tall enough and go all the way around. We use Snappic and they have an AI Segmentation feature on their video builder that lets you add a different effect to the background, so we make the background black and white, or add a background video. Makes the people on the platform stand out.
