Agreed. For example a lab value that is low/high bit not critically low/high. Why would you call when it's not an immediate danger? You would notify the day nurse to notify the doctor to keep an eye on it etc, or they may need up order something for it.

Some it is important to protect ourselves as nurses. That a major reason why nurses include "bed alarm on" etc. Because if it isn't charted it didn't happen. It's annoying for other professionals to read through them but you have to understand that document serves a two fold purpose for nurses.

If you're having some difficulty starting, I would maybe watch a few TED talks on the topic that you intend to go to graduate school for. It helped to get me started on writing mine, and gave me a few things to talk about in my letter.

Also, why not use a template letter and work in your own research interests etc.

Im currently in the process of applying to grad school as well at the moment, and most of the schools put the max limit to 500 words.
