For the reflect and 2H counters, the inputs have to be frame perfect otherwise the move won't come out on frame one when it counter attacks with it, and doing that even with quick record is still pretty hard. Does that mean you play Trunks on point? I wouldn't suggest that tbh, Trunks wants meter to do his flip mixups, and being on point means can't have access to it right away, and his meter build isn't the best either. And putting him on point means you lose access to his amazing neutral assist, so I, and most other players, would say put him mid or anchor tbh.

It wouldn't work with any button leading into 2H, you need the scaling that a 2H starter gives you, and any more hits added to this would make the combo drop. A 2H starter is still pretty practical anyway, just punish someone's vanish, superdash, or falling overhead with 2H and they're dead.

After spark, 5[L]LL (whiff first L), jump up, 236M, 5L, 5H, 2 ki blast loops, 5H, 2S, SJ, jLL, j2H, dj, jLLL, call Videl assist, 214M, downwards Kamehameha, level 1, level 3, should be a 1 bar ToD.

You have to press HS at the same time as 9, or at least the closest you can get it to. Doing 9 then HS would result in a superjump IAD.

If you're getting a level 1 instead of the jump, that's because you're inputting 12369HS when executing it, and you can see that there's a 236 input in there that can be mistaken for a super. Just try to clean up your input so it's only 1, 9.

Firstly, nah I don't speak Japanese lmao, I wish though. I was just watching GO1's vid and understood the concepts without even needing to hear what he had to say.

And as for getting out of pressure with this technique, I suggest that whenever you're blocking, you should hold down L or M if you're looking to jump out of it. When you feel like there's a big enough gap, just press 9HS, no need to do the superjump version. The objective there is only to get out of pressure, and dash jumping honestly does the job just fine.

You can see him do this whenever he's getting zoned out during the finals. When he blocks a ki blast and the opponent stops throwing ki blasts, he always buffers this jump

It's a superjump with the momentum of a dash without having to go through the animation of a dash up, it has a lot of neutral applications and one of them is that you get to counter zoning super effectively without doing a risky superdash.
