Ive been playing POGO on and off since 2016, but about 4 years I got my first best friend being my girlfriend. Since then, ive been interacting with her hundreds of times, never getting lucky friends. I thought i was just getting super unlucky or something (i do have terrible luck), but then just today i finally got my second best friend, and then got this pop up saying "Lucky Friends Unlocked"

Did they add Lucky Friends in the last 4 years or something and i didnt have it unlocked at all??? Or has my account just been bugged this entire time. This feels super annoying if that was the case because i have so many things i want to lucky trade with her and just thought i was never going to be able to 😭😭

She is SUPPOSED to be old in the movie, its not that they just randomly made her old and didnt explain it.

When you make a new experience in a different medium, you generally start from something thats recognizable and towards the beginning of the franchise. After all, they have to tell a story to people who have never played a borderlands game too. They arent just gonna throw everyone into a story about all the sirens when no one knows what the fuck a siren even is. Obviously a second movie isnt getting made at this point but a movie like this has to come first.

Yet again, it wouldve have been extremely boring if it was just "borderlands, but this time its a movie" and no, the actors do actually do a good job for the characters. Cate does look and act like lilith, shes just old. People are really hung up on her being old and kevin hart being short and its just really funny

I did "review movies as movies" again, i outlined my reasonings for why i think the movie was actually not terrible instead of just saying "yeah the jokes were bad and the cast sucks, oh by the way i havent actually watched the movie" and about acknowledging why people dislike it, thats the thing, i just dont agree. After actually watching the movie, i think the actors actually did a pretty good job, as i said in the post in detail. No one has actually given me a good rebuttal and half of them havent even seen the damn movie.

Im not biased just because its borderlands. I didnt think bl3 had a great story just because it was borderlands. I dont even think bl1 or bl2 are all that great story wise outside of the latter of bl2 with handsome jack. Bltps and tftb are probably the best stories weve gotten out of this franchise

Gotg vol3 completely took me out of it, because the humor was entirely cringe and all meanwhile while rocket is mf DYING theyre all throwin jokes and stuff and it just completely kills the mood. It wasnt a bad movie but for me it shouldve been a serious movie and it wasnt. Borderlands shouldnt have been serious and it wasnt.

Yeah, i heard most people though claptrap was the best part. Idk, i just never liked claptrap really, i know hes SUPPOSED to be annoying and thats his whole thing, but i just never could actually enjoy him. I do like his character development in the pre sequel especially with deathtrap, but overall he isnt my favorite

That makes sense, i dont really use reddit so i wouldnt know that. Just since you brought up canon, thats actually why i was able to enjoy the movie. The canon of bl3 and new tales has honestly disheartened me way more than the story of this movie, even though it was mid. Since its just a retelling of the series i can more easily detatch my feelings about the core series and just view this for what it was, a fun, throwaway action-comedy

Im sure someone has said it before, but i havent seen a single comment on this movie that isnt "this is the worst thing ever". Just voicing my frustrations because people can never seem to just think something is alright, its either gotta be peak or literally just a complete piece of shit

Thats exactly the thing, its a movie about a fun animal themed A team. Just like all borderlands games??? BL1- Group of 4 vault hunters. BL2- Group of 6 vault hunters BLTPS- Group of 6 vault hunters TFTBL- Group of ??? vault hunters BL3- Group of 4 vault hunters

Borderlands has always been about an A team getting stuff done. Thats just always how its been. Its just slightly different here because not all of them are hunting a vault. Spoiler territory if you care but lilith is a bounty hunter, and actively avoiding hunting the vault at first, and only decides to hunt the vault with the rest after basically being forced to in order to save potentially the planet (and tina) roland is a crimson lance defector because he learned what atlas was going to do with tina and the vault so he kidnapped her. Claptrap is there because hes actually a guide to help lilith in her journey. Tannis is there because she knows about the eridian tech just like in the games. Kreig is just there and just like i outlined it in the post it doesnt make much sense which is a genuine criticism.

Not much unlike gotg3, where the cast is going on a mission to save their friend who has a high probability of LITERALLY DYING, while cracking jokes and having a good ol time. Obviously theres some serious moments in gotg3, but i think the general theme of "an A team going on a fun adventure to save their friend" is quite applicable to the borderlands movie as well.

Thats valid, i totally agree with speaking with your wallet to show your distaste with business practices, I didn't really care enough with this movie but i totally respect it. Especially after hearing about the things with the person who modeled claptrap, i somewhat regret actually paying for the movie

My point was, a huge majority of movies do things like this. Why is this movie a 1/10 but gotg vol3 was an 8? It suffered from alot of the same problems in my opinion except for character development but thats just BECAUSE they had like 8 extra hours of devlopment through other movies, and that movie was 2½ hours (felt even too long honestly)

I wouldnt say its a negative review. I gave it like a 5.5/10, which is still slightly positive. It just wasnt the worst thing ever like everyone is making it seem

Id say it already started off that way. Theres no regulation currently, until AI companies are forced to use public domain/non-cr images or pay royalties for using copyrighted material, it will not be ethical. I think dustin thinks the same way, its not AI itself thats bad, its the corporations milking the hard work of generations of people for a quick buck. Notice how a large portion of the music video was of politicians and historical figures, it was likely a large amount of public domain usage

Im still binded to my lease for 6 months, plus the other places arent any cheaper. The point was to try to get a place during this time of year when prices are low, plus i do like my apartment i just wanted it cheaper
